About this listen

Curtis Black might be a man of the cloth, but with his irresistible looks, seductive charm, and charismatic personality, he's particularly beloved by his female parishioners - and almost every other woman he's ever met. The trouble is Curtis is married.

At first he tries to resist temptation, but his insatiable appetite for women quickly gets the best of him. Eventually the women in Curtis' life find that with a little careful planning - sneaky and otherwise - they can help Curtis reap the punishment he so richly deserves.

In this captivating and dramatic sequel to Casting the First Stone, Kimberla Lawson Roby, with her trademark wit and insight, sets sparks flying.

Contains mature themes.

When an author can write in such a way that you find yourself getting pissed off at fictional characters like they exist for real you know that’s a good writer!!! I had to press the damn emotional ‘reset button’ several times, lol :) I think I get so mad because the story, even though it’s fiction, is a true one happening somewhere in somebody’s church. ‘Ol Curtis got a bipolar psycho narcissist personality and women still going for it. Overall, it’s a good one!

Gurrlllllllll!!!!

The narrator was excellent. I enjoyed how she animated the story by using different voices. The story was excellent also and I was sad at the ending. All in all a great read.

great story

This story was really good. It touched me so, that I even cried while listening to some parts. The denouement of the story was shocking. I am looking forward to reading the next installment of this series.

I did not see that coming...

I love the book! I think I got too used to the narrator in the first book though (which was great). Specifically, I didn't care for the women voices in the narration. The story was awesome though. On to book 3! Can't wait to see what Curtis is going to be up to,lol.

Loved it!
