About this listen

Alexa:

I hate him, but I want him...

I hate the emotional blackmail that my mom gives me for not being with Sebastian, the guy my mom wanted me to marry. I never wanted him. But if I don't, my mom will end her relationship with me.

I am only interested in the quarterback who I cheered for on the sidelines, even though I hate his guts. Regardless, I can't deny what my body and heart desire. But we are about to graduate and go our separate ways. What am I going to do?

Martin:

I've always loved her, but I'm poorer than she knows...

Playing my last year in college as the star quarterback people thought I was, it was bittersweet. I hope I get drafted into the NFL to be able to help pay my family back for all they've done, and get them out of that trailer. But that would mean being far from Alexa.

She was the cheerleader I always wanted by my side. But man, she could be so stuck up sometimes! That was until our friends locked us up in the dorm and wouldn't let us leave until we sorted things out. I have no idea what will happen next...

This is a full length bad boy sports novel, with no cliffhanger, no cheating, and a happily ever after.

buy the ebook, audio is horrible

The editing of this audio is horrible. The volume fluctuates, the cadence is all over the place, narrator has a hard time keeping the voices straight between characters and it feels very pieced together so there are long pauses or non at all. I read this story and loved it so added the audio upgrade. very glad I didn't use a credit for this audiobook

Alexa & Martin

The audio recording could have been better. I feel like maybe a duo narration would have made it much better. The Story itself was a good one. Martin and Alexa were great characters. Martin was the star quarterback of his team. He was on scholarship and hoping to get drafted into the NFL after college. Alexa was the head captain of the cheerleader team and not your average rich girl. Even though she came from a wealthy family she was very grounded and down to earth. Will these two find a HEA or will they let other people influence their decision. Pick up a copy of this story I recommend it.

Bad narrator

Liked the book but not crazy about the narrator. Would of liked a different narrator.

Poor Recording

This recording skips over a few words every couple of minutes. For me it was incredibly distracting and not worth finishing.

Not what I expected

I listen to at least 5 audiobooks a week. This is the first time I have listened to this author. The story was good but the narrator ruined the book. She read very slow and you could hear her breathe, also her inflection was off. As much as I liked the book I don't think I can stand to listen to this lady again for the rest of the series.

Can't do it

I could not get past chapter 3. I thought I was listening to some middle school girly brat drama.

Overall great

Some tech errors, I think? The sound was wonky in a few spots and effected the flow of the story. Overall story and narrator were great!

Lousy narrator

This narrator is lousy and somewhat annoying. She does not sound professional. The story is good though. That's the only reason I kept listening.

An Awesome Story Nicely Done.

This is an awesome story that is just as amazing as an audio book.
I love Alexa and Martin, their story is fun and heartfelt. The narrator
does a great job bringing these wonderful characters to life. I would
definitely recommend it to everyone

I love sports romances

Thus was a very sweet romance. Alexa, the head cheerleader has always had a crush on Martin, the star quarterback, but their paths when crossed always wreaked havoc between them. Their friends locked them in Martin's bedroom to have them work things out, and that is exactly what they did. Now, the two are happily in a relationship, but have other obstacles to overcome. They come from completely different worlds, Alexa from a privileged background with a witch of a mother, and Martin from a tough, poor background with a loving mother. They need to figure out how to make the two worlds mesh. I really enjoyed their journey to their happily ever after.

I was not thrilled with the narrator, Lynnae Stanwick. Her distinction between male and female voices was not different enough to make me know who's POV was being read. It did make listening to it a little frustrating at times, but the storyline prevailed.

--I was given a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
