Definitely YA but a heart tugging story

So this book is definitely YA. It's a little campy at times and the female lead definitely sounds and behaves like a teenage girl.
If you ever swooned over Westside Story you will swoon hard for this one. Alex will capture your heart. This is one bad boy with a heart of gold.
The thing I appreciated the most about this one is that Blas had an amazingly wonderful, authentic Latino accent. Perfect for the character and drop dead sexy.
The sexy times in this book are definitely high school and hardly inappropriate. Remember your first time? This book will remind you of you don't!

Cheesy narration but good story

The narrator’s voices are pretty annoying and they do not sound convincing most of the time but the story is sweet. Good for young adults.

Romance lover

I loved this book and wanted to see what Audible was all about. This book went back and forth between 2 protagonist in the story and the narrators did a great job, but if they would have interacted with each other in the chapters it would have been really great. Each narrator changed their voice to match the other protagonist which I did not like.

Love conquers

Would you recommend Perfect Chemistry to your friends? Why or why not?

Maybe with a new narrator.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Roxanne Hernandez and Blas Kisic ?

Therese Plummer! I have hear her do a mexican accent for a male before and she nailed it. She could of also made you feel what these people were feeling unlike the narrators that this books had. They made the story fall flat and the accent was horrible for the mexicans. It could of been so much better.

Any additional comments?

This story is a timeless story of love overcoming boundries put upon us from all. The love (chemistry) these two had, had to overcome him being in a gang, and her being the well breed al proper Mrs. White goodie goodie. This book was good but not as good as it could of been with a better narrator and maybe a little extra work on the story line. He had alot of real potential. I have never read any from this Author before but I will be listening to the next one. My curriousity is peeked and I can tell she has talent and I want to see if she gets better.

While I know this is consider as a Young Adult book, I would like to warn you that there are things in here that I would not let anyone under the age of 15 (mature minded 15 mind you) read, due to the nature of certain situations that are in the book.

I cant wait to see what the next installment holds.

You Are Going to Love It

Lots of tender writing coupled with passion, and this story pulled off the perfect mix. Not overly sexual, yet kept a great rhythm and followed a very captivating story line. The only warning I'll throw out there for those of you carefully searching for your next favorite: this is kind of a young story (i.e. is reminiscent of a young-adult drama). Despite the tame(ish) nature of the romance, the passion was definitely satisfying the lusty reader in me, just as the story's relationship satisfied the girl in me.

You're going to love it! This was well worth my credit.

Better than I thought it would be

Would you listen to Perfect Chemistry again? Why?

Yes I would, I liked the story. It seems like a predictable plot, but there are twists.

What other book might you compare Perfect Chemistry to and why?

Romeo and Juliet I guess. Or any other story of forbidden love.

Which character – as performed by Roxanne Hernandez and Blas Kisic – was your favorite?

I liked alex's character the most. Blas Kisic's voice it nice and I found Roxanne's voice a little annoying at first but I got used to it.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Shelly praised Britney for standing up to their parents.

Any additional comments?

I liked the book much more than I thought I would. Just a warning that there is some harsh language, so if that bothers you, you might be offended in some parts. I loved the idea that the main characters are connected even though they come from completely different worlds.

The hopeless romantic

I was shown this book years ago from my first love, how cliche lol. But it’s one I loved ever since and keep coming back to when I need a good love story. This book resonates with me because I grew up in such a crazy area in New York and violence there has only gotten worse! To know love can help you out of a situation and not necessarily a love towards a person can be love towards anything just really shows how amazing life can be when you believe in the higher power. You work and sacrifice for love and that’s beautiful we’re not always it best care takers but we sure would do anything to protect it and keep it safe. I recommend this to any hopeless romantic as well as anyone who needs to know that you can do and achieve anything not matter what cards you were dealt in life!

love this book

I own this book in paperback, so I had to get the audio book for work. I don't understand the bad reviews saying the female narrator sounding too much like a teenager.... Brittany is literally a teenager/child. Of course she's supposed to sound young, and get upset over little stuff. If Brittany was 30 I could understand the complaints, but come on guys use your common sense.
