About this listen

Fans of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman will be captivated by this series from best-selling father and daughter writing team Lynn and Gilbert Morris. The fourth installment of the continuing saga of Cheney Duvall finds the doctor and her dedicated nurse, Shiloh Irons, on the way to New Orleans.

When they make a stop in Charleston, South Carolina, they are unprepared for the turmoil they find around them. Intending to stay for only a short visit, the intrepid pair find the grand old city in the throes of Reconstruction. Determined to do what she can to help, with little more than her faith to see her through, Cheney finds herself up against carpetbaggers, outdated medical practices, and white supremacists.

I used to read books by just G. Morris, but his daughter joining him in this series has added depth of character, plot, and humour!!! Could we please have the next books in this series narrated? I’ve read the books themselves and embarrassing amount of times and am enjoying listening to them. AGAIN!!

Love LOVE this series

This story has just the right amount of suspense. I love the historical accuracy including the characters. The author's describe the scenes and characters in such detail.

I really enjoyed this book! I could have handled a bit more romance and less violence- but all in all I enjoyed it. I mean it’s my 2nd time reading it- so that says something. Very historical

A great way to learn some history!

Story compelling, entertaining, and inspiring. Wonderful to enjoy on long trips with my husband. Both a woman's and man's book worth reading or listening to.

Brilliant descriptive writing!
