A mental toughness playbook for athletes, parents, and coaches. In sports, and in life, mental toughness matters - even more than raw talent and skill. But young athletes can't develop it, and master other vital aspects of the "inner game", on their own. Coaches and parents play a vital role as well. Angeron draws on his expertise as a sport psychology coach and his background as a college athlete and baseball scout to help listeners overcome the fear, doubt, and negativity that derail players and teams.

Taking inspiration from the university's slogan, "What starts here changes the world," he shared the ten principles he learned during Navy Seal training that helped him overcome challenges not only in his training and long Naval career, but also throughout his life; and he explained how anyone can use these basic lessons to change themselves - and the world - for the better.

When Ball Four was published in 1970, it created a firestorm. Bouton was called a Judas, a Benedict Arnold and a “social leper” for having violated the “sanctity of the clubhouse.” Baseball commissioner Bowie Kuhn tried to force Bouton to sign a statement saying the book wasn’t true. Ballplayers, most of whom hadn’t read it, denounced the book. It was even banned by a few libraries. Almost everyone else, however, loved Ball Four.
