Publisher's summary

It's no wonder so many people are discouraged with prayer. Instead of a genuine encounter with God, prayer is little more than a grocery list of requests. Maybe you, too, seek God's hand rather than his face.

How do you truly connect with God through prayer? For almost three decades, renewal leader and pastor Daniel Henderson has helped innumerable Christians transform their prayer life. Now, in this audiobook, he shows you how to:

  • Overcome common barriers to praying effectively
  • Awaken your prayer life with simple, biblical patterns of prayer
  • Enjoy Spirit-led prayer sparked by scripture passages

When you experience the profound difference of worship-based prayer, your faith and life will never be the same.

Thank you Jesus

This was a very needed book for me. My prayers ought/need to be much more God centered and Kingdom focused than they are. How great and wonderful our Lord Jesus is!

Good thoughts, but over generalizing

I think Daniel Henderson is definitely on to something when it comes to the dull average prayer life of most believers, including myself. Worship based prayer gives some great insights in how to allow God to speak first, seek his face first before we come with our lust of petitions. I struggled however with some passages that seemed to indicate that every church that adheres to his 4 by 4 principle of prayer, turns from dying to thriving. I don’t think you can put God in a box like this. You have the Holy Spirit inside of you and he is your only Hope for a thriving prayer life. Be careful to try to turn that into a Formular, expecting the same result every time. That might grieve the Spirit while you think you’re doing amazing. Overall though a good read with good meat. Be prepared to spit out some bones though.
