Amazing!

This is a killer stand-alone novel by one of my fave authors. Ok, it may be a little OTT, but it’s fiction, and a great piece of fiction. With 70-odd books to his name, there have been some lesser novels in the catalogue but this truly one of the best. Excellently written and, as always, narrated perfectly by Paul Thornley.
I cannot recommend this enough. Good work, Stephen!

Great book.

I love Stephan leather’s books and they come alive when Paul thornley reads them. I really enjoyed this one almost as much as the spider shepherd stories.

Good story by a favorite author

I enjoyed most of the story except the ending. Hope there will be a sequel.

Outstanding!

This is the best action thriller I have read this year. It’s fascinating, intriguing, different. Absolute brilliant storyline. I could not stop listening. Well done Mr Leather 10/10.

Pretty good, BUT...

I'm a big Stephen Leather fan (specifically Dan Shepard series and related one-offs), so I enjoyed taking the ride with this story, BUT... the overuse of "[enter name] you're up" and generally silly interpretation of multiple personality disorder got pretty tired pretty fast. That said, there's enough basic character development and very small portions where the main character is having an off-mission life, but basically the story is pretty fast paced and jumps mission to mission where the main character kicks a## with incredible ease. I was pretty much on board for that kind of ride, so I had a good time, but I did find parts tiring, and if this were to spin off into a character-based series, I wouldn't be interested.

GIve me more Spider Shepard, Matt Standing, and those ilk any day, though.
