From USA Today Bestselling Authors K Webster and Nikki Ash comes Truths and Lies: the complete duet—a dark, arranged marriage, Greek mafia romance.
My life was easy, simple, fun.
My life was brutal, horrific, ruthless.
Light.
Dark.
Until I got wrapped up with the wrong people.
Until a beautiful bride was dragged into my life.
Nothing but a piece of property to pay for the sins of my father.
I took her as my prize and made her mine.
I’m to be married off to a handsome monster.
Vengeance never tasted so sweet.
I see his truths every day, and it’s hard not to fall for the enemy.
I see her truths every day, and it’s hard not to fall for a woman who makes me weak.
He won’t let me escape, but I’m not sure I want to.
She can try to run, but I have no intention of ever letting her go.
I wanted to marry for love, but it looks like love is a lie.
I wanted to marry for hate, but it looks like hate is a lie.
**Please note: this complete duet includes stories Hidden Truths and Stolen Lies.**

it’s been a long time since i’ve read a mafia romance! i forgot how fun they are! the first book is filled with banter and anger and enemies to lovers vibes. the arranged marriage in this one was so well done. so many crazy things happen in terms of plot but it kept me so entertained and on the edge of my seat. some characters surprised me
book 2 was so good! i was ready to join the main characters and take part in some of the fights (this one character had me like🤺🤺) kostas and talia are perfect together they have so much chemistry. kostas is hot!! protective, scary, obsessed with his wife. talia has the best attitude and so much confidence.
overall this duet was so fun. i feel like i usually get bored during book 2 of a duet but i actually liked book 2 more than book 1 for this one. they are quick reads and i think i would definitely recommend for someone who’s looking for a change of pace or for someone who’s feeling a bit slumpy.

such a fun read

This started off pretty much exactly like other books in this trope, so I figured I knew what to expect … and I was right but it was still fun to experience.
I liked Talia, pretty much off the bat, so I hung in there (and I’m so glad I did!). It’s sort of slow-paced and very cliché (typical, highly used mafia plot, unoriginal) until about 2 hours from the end, action starts to go down, and things heat up quite a bit. The action occurs in short spurts, and then it’s sorta slow-paced again, but it’s done well, as more is clearly just on the horizon, keeping me engaged.
By the time I got to the end, I was hooked. And after that wicked cliffhanger, I definitely will need to listen on to book 2—very well played on the part of the authors.
Overall: 3.5 stars.
Audio:
Overall not bad at all, but could’ve been better.
-It could be confusing at times, because both narrators pronounced the main a major character’s name inconsistently, sometimes saying Aris < as it sounds in an American accent, and one saying “Edd-es”. (I get it, I can’t roll my Rs and it sounds similar if I try to say it, however, one consistent pronunciation would’ve made it a lot more seamless to listen to.)
- Both have good voices and both more perform than read like robots, which is amazing. Dual cast that sounded like a full cast thanks to accents.
-However: each narrator works well individually. It seems like they did not work together at all. Whenever the male covered female dialogue, he made her sound like a petulant, weak little girl. It was absolutely awful and a striking conflict from how Sarah portrayed her, and how the authors designed her (as she’s actually wise beyond her years, grows up quickly after being forced to, strong and brave).
Stolen Lies
After being bored for much of book 1, I ended up getting totally hooked near the end and NEEDING this one. Interesting tactic on the authors’ part—which I have to respect!
This one starts a year after that cliffie in book 1 … it’s turmoil, action, drama, and heat. Overall, a good, quick listen. Much faster paced than the first, but I now understand why the first went the way it did—the world, character and plot development were needed.
4 stars.
Audio:
Very good, especially the female. The male did a great job w/ the male parts, but his female impersonations were tough to take. Excellent sound quality overall!
Dark and delicious

I was so excited to start this duet. K Webster has been recommended to me by several people and when I saw that this was a Greek mafia, dark romance, with Hades and Persephone elements, I couldn’t wait to dive in! I’m such a sucker for all of these tropes and I love that the audio was for the complete duet.
This book started off with a bang with Thalia’s life being turned completely upside down due to the actions of her horrible father. Kostas is every inch the mafia heir, handsome and brutal. Thalia is defiant and determined to escape, until she wasn’t.
I liked a lot about this book. There were some surprisingly funny moments. Like the scene with the foot. I also loved watching the transition from enemies to lovers. There were quite a few events that I didn’t see coming and I was on the edge of my seat waiting for more.
My kryptonite is characters that are TSTL, and usually it is the FMC. But there were so many times in the book when I wanted to shake some sense into the men.
Sarah Puckett did an amazing job narrating! I could listen to her all day. I really enjoyed Jeffrey Holz as Kostas, but I wasn’t really a fan of his other voices, especially the female ones. But I would listen to him doing a duet narration in a heartbeat.
🚨🚨Spoilers Below 🚨🚨
I do wish this book had CW/TW. I’m pretty good with most things. But I would have really appreciated the heads up when it came to the “🩸play” if you know what I mean. This is a dark romance and you can expect a lengthy TW list, but I still believe that CW/TW are important.

I did the audio, which was really well done. I enjoyed both narrators. I just found the male narrator doing the voice of Talia a little off but really enjoyed the rest. Loved him portraying Kostas.
Keeps you guessing
