Publisher's summary

Don't let her mousy appearance fool you....

McKenna Byrne is fire.

Hot-tempered. Passionate. All-consuming. She seared my soul from our very first kiss.

Once, she wanted a chance at independence. A life away from the Clan.

Then danger threw us back together, And when McKenna and I collide...

We ignite.

Now I'm forced to claim her. To make her a full-fledged woman of the Clan. She might fight me tooth and nail, but we both love a challenge.

This time, there'll be no escape for either of us.

This time, we'll burn....

Decent story not attractive cover

I’ve bought all of the series and her Scottish mountain men as well. I think this was a decent story but I felt like it was just introducing new characters. The cover didn’t attract me but I liked his personality. You have to follow the series or you won’t get it.

Loved this book

I love all of Jane Henry's mafia related stories. I especially love it when Wen and Kai narrate it because they totally bring the characters to life.

Great listen and series

This was a great read/listen and you can’t help but root for McKenna and Tully. They had to find their grove. I loved watching them learn to trust and love each other. Along with seeing all the other McCarthy clan. Jane Henry keeps you interested and I didn’t want to put this book down. I can’t wait for the spin off of the mountain men. Kai kennicott and wen Ross narration is the best you can’t stop listening

Outstanding🎧📚🎧 Gripping, Intense & Heartfelt!

Jane Henry always impresses me with her gift of writing and creating stories, she is a master at creating Mafia romance novels building a mafia world like no other and drawing me in to that world and making me want to be a part of it. She has a way of making you fall in love with each and every one of her lead characters, bringing out the good in even the baddest of them all. But are the McCarthy clan really all that bad, the people of Ballyhock do not think so, but the rival families from the north do and they cause trouble for the clan and bring danger close to home. This is book is Tully and McKenna’s story, he has been a clan member, a McCarthy by oath rather than blood but considered a brother just the same. McKenna is a school teacher at their academy, she and Tully have an on and off relationship, both love their kink and cat and mouse games. He may want more but she does not want to commit to the clan, her late father was a member but her mother has nothing good to say about it. But there is a lot more to the mother that McKenna never knew. Wow, Tully and McKenna have such a tumultuous relationship, she fought him every step of the way and it takes her a long time to open her eyes to see what is in front of her and what she could really have if she just allowed herself to. I loved how everything played out in this book, like all of Jane Henry books the story is cleverly plotted with complex storylines that are captivating from start to end. There is plenty of drama, angst, action twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and a hot romance. It was great to see the other clan members appear in this book, the clan suffers a heartbreaking loss but they stand strong, it was also great to see that they got support from outside their gates. Superbly done Jane Henry, thank you for another awesome novel in this amazing series.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross’ talent truly shines in this book and the entire series. They have a complete understanding of all the characters and play each role accordingly and with perfection. Their performance enhances an already awesome story to another level of awesomeness. These two mega talented narrators are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen.

My Two Pennies

3.7 story
5 narration

Kai and Wen always win me over with their narrations. McKenna irked me more other then not but seeing Tully have this magnetic pull towards her kept me going. Over time she grew on me a bit more with the roller coaster ride we’re taken on. This story has romance, suspense and even some action throughout. The character separations between everyone is what kept me wanting to listen to both the narrators.

I gcónaí. Always.😍😍😍

This was such a good wrap up of the series! Especially because Tully seems so aloof in the others, I loved reading/hearing his side and story. Also- the audible for this series is amazing!! Performance is perfect, the accents are consistent and I love the small changes in voice that tell characters apart. Amazing! Bought the whole series on here and kindle. Love!!

This series is fantastic!

Is it the story? Is it the narration? I think it's both! The team of Jane Henry and Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross has been keeping me thoroughly entertained through all 7 of the Dangerous Doms series! Each clan member original and different from the last, the stories are exciting and hot! McKenna is a teacher for the Clan's school, and though attracted to Tully, does not want to be a claimed woman. Tully is enforcer. Not a McCarthy by blood, he has been with them forever and the Clan is his family. His attraction to McKenna is bordering on obsession, and the push pull between this couple is palpable. The explosive chemistry, the fierce banter and the sensual scenes prove that. But love is not the problem. Danger is lurking, and Tully will do whatever it takes to keep McKenna safe. Will it be enough? Let's talk McKenna. While she is definitely a feisty heroine, you can feel the pull she has to Tully. Even when she is being difficult, the feelings are evident. Tully is the kind of protector we can only dream of. Passionate, compassionate and willing to fulfill any want McKenna has, it's impossible not to fall of the his man. And hard! It's everything in a book I love. Steam, true love, family, and suspense all wrapped up in a Celtic knot! Love this one!

Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross continue their narration of this series and I am loving them! Their Irish accents are spot on, and their vision of the characters comes through with their narration. I loved it!

Emotional Story

I wasn't for sure how I was going to feel about this book. Tully isn't mentioned much in the other books besides a few times. But man this was by far the most emotional book. So many things happen I couldn't help but shed a few tears during the book. I I enjoy listening to Tully and McKennas love blossom throughout the book. Even through deep sadness they made it through stronger. It was nice to see one of the men of the clan allow their women to be apart of the action.
