Publisher's summary

When Kathleen Turner, office runner for the prestigious Indianapolis law firm of Kirk & Trent, started dating the boss she knew the risks. Senior Partner Blane Kirk is known for being a notorious player - the Baskin Robbins of dating with a different flavor every month. Kathleen is the happiest she’s been in a long time, but she’s always known there was a termination date on her relationship with Blane. She just didn’t expect that termination to be her funeral. Blane’s current case is drawing heated debate and stirring the pot of public fury. A former Navy SEAL stands accused of the wrongful death of an American citizen during a military operation overseas. The case has far-reaching political and military implications. Someone with a lot of money, and even more clout, wants Blane to lose. As dead bodies of people connected to the defense start piling up, it becomes painfully obvious that disappearing witnesses and altered testimony are no longer enough for whoever is intent on guaranteeing the SEAL gets convicted. Kathleen and Kade, Blane’s brother and ex-FBI-agent-turned-assassin-for-hire, are on the trail of the killer. Unfortunately for Kathleen, he’s already moved for the end-game - by painting a target on her…and pulling the trigger.

Intrigue!

I hate when I don't read books in order. I didn't look close enough at the title to see that this was book #2. I will fix that immediately. But in the meantime, what a triangle to be in! Kat has to decide which brother she loves most, knowing it could tear them apart for ever. But I doubt the danger is over yet. Now back to book 1.

Romance trumps suspence

Would you try another book from Tiffany Snow and/or Angela Dawe?

If it was free. I really didn't like the heroine, who epitomized the saying "fools rush in". The narrator was fine.

Would you ever listen to anything by Tiffany Snow again?

Maybe a different series.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Yes

What would have made this romance irresistible?

I knew this was romantic suspense, but I prefer a stronger heroine. Less emphasis on sex and more on investigation, and personal resourcefulness.

I'm hooked on the Kathleen Turner book series!

I gave the narration 3 stars because it wasn't anything special, but the Kathleen Turner book series has me hooked! It's got action, mystery, suspense, hot romance and great characters.

Not sure about the love triangle

I'm torn with this one. Overall, I am enjoying the story, the writing, the characters. The heroine however is causing me to waiver. She makes some really dumb choices regarding her safety. And I'm not loving the love triangle. I don't usually anyway, but this authors other series has made the love triangle tolerable. This one is not as tolerable. I don't like that the competition is between two brothers. I'm nervous about the next book and how far this will go.

Unsympathetic Heroine

Subtract Kathleen from the story and it’s good. I don’t understand why writers feel a woman has to be rude and not accept help in order to be strong.
Being strong is being able to accept help. Kat is so inadequate she blames others for her own issues. I haven’t been able to figure out what is so wonderful about her that 2 grown men are so ga-ya over her. Ugh

A True TSTL Heroine

I really wanted to give this a higher rating. I like the story concept. I like the authors writing. The heroine as many great traits. But the author resorts to people just being stupid to increase tension and suspense.

To avoid spoilers, I give the following example:
If you know somebody is trying to kill you, do not walk the dog alone at 5:30 in the morning.

I will buy the next book in the series, but if it is not better, I will stop there.

Tiffany Snow does it again!

Where does Turn to Me rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I am so pleased I found this series - Turn To Me continues on from the first book in the series No Turning Back. This series rates highly amongst the other books in this genre that I have read. It has all the elements that make a book a real page turner - one that keeps you up late and gives you something to look forward to.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed the intrigue that was woven throughout the story. But at the same time I also found that I wanted to hit Kathleen over the head as she kept excusing Blane's behaviour but a the same time keeps Kade on the hook but at arms length. This is a love triangle that will only cause heartache.

Which scene was your favorite?

I didn't have a favourite scene - the whole book was fast moving, full of suspense and with a wholesome dollop of romance.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did find myself smirking at parts of this book - many due I think to Angela Dawes fabulous narration. Tiffany Snow has written this book with a huge amount of first person dialogue and this has given the narrator a chance to give Kathleen Turner a very unique character.

Any additional comments?

I guess my only comment is that because this is a series it can become frustrating waiting for the next book - unfortunately we now live in a society that expects instant gratification - so I guess I will just have to learn to be patient.

Disappointed - but not in THIS book

First 2 books are great. However, after buying the third book in this series I found out there are TWO more books! One of the reviews on the 5th and last in the series gave away the brother selected... don't like the ending. Series would have been great in three. Five drags it out toooooo long.
