About this listen

Don DiMarco has a very good life - a family he loves, a comfortable lifestyle, passions and interests that keep him amused. He also thought he had time, but that turned out not to be the case. Faced with news that might have immediately felled most, Don now wonders if he has time enough. Time enough to show his wife the romance he didn’t always lavish on her. Time enough to live out his most ambitious fantasies. Time enough to close the circle on some of his most aching unresolved relationships. Summoning an inner strength he barely realized he possessed, Don sets off to prove that twelve months is time enough to live a life in full. A glorious celebration of each and every moment that we’re given here on Earth as well as the eternal bonds that we all share, Twelve Months is a stirring testament to the power of the human spirit.©2012 Steven Manchester (P)2015 Audible, Inc. Beautiful love story

Warning....if you’re mourning any sort of loss this book will make you cry the big ugly multi tissue puffy eyed messy cry. It may cause this reaction anyway, but I think that this may have exacerbated my reaction. This was a touching story of a man who when diagnosed with terminal cancer decides not to wallow (though pretty sure most would need some serious wallowing time) and make the best of the 12 months he has been given. It is his tribute to the woman and family he loved with every fiber of his being. Everyone should love and be loved like he did. What would you do if you knew you had an expiration date? It was both a beautiful, heart wrenching and emotional listen. Treat yourself to this beautiful love story about a life well lived. I cried HARD, but truly am glad I experienced this book.

Cry, Cry, Cry-

This should be mandatory reading for every person in this world! I was touched in so many ways ❤️ It IS hard to listen to, but it’s worth every teardrop that falls. 10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS for all the people old enough to get the outstanding message it sends, and the love. Please read/listen to this book. ❤️

Sad but sweet

I don't normally bother with reviews but this is a must read. Poignant and funny at the same time. It's a story of a man's last year and the lessons he Kearns, the life he lives. I wont spoil it for you, but listen and enjoy it. I did.

Wonderful story

This story gave me more that I imagined it would. It made me think so much more about my life and what is really important and how you should always put others before yourself, even though society tells you differently. The rewards in doing so are so much greater.
This was not a sad story at all. Although there were some sad moments, it was actually very funny and adventurous, I enjoyed this story very much.

Fan

Did not what to except when started. But I can say this is one of the most beautiful story that I can ever remember reading.
I laughed and cried throughout the book. I hope that others will read or listen to this book because of some of the most truthful sayings that could ever be. We all take life for granted and should not. We do need to live life with gusto and do things on the bucket list.

A great lesson for living

Though this was more of a diary, there were many heartwarming life lessons throughout that anyone can apply. It was well written, and ended the only way it could.
