Publisher's summary

Two Dragons. Dragons are said to guard treasure with their lives...

Ceric, beset with madness from the trauma of the losses he has suffered, wanders the forests of Kilton. An urgent need to stave off the hunger of his folk calls his younger brother Edwin, Lord of Kilton, to the kingdom of Mercia, and though he fulfils his mission, finds the greater prize he sought out of reach.

Four Stones now has the second son of Sidroc under its lofty roof—Yrling, come from Gotland to train under the hand of his half-brother Hrald. An unexpected visit from Raedwulf, Bailiff of Defenas, sends Hrald on a journey of vital importance to both Four Stones and to King Ælfred himself.

On Gotland, a dragon ship oars steadily for shore, its warriors ready to leap out as soon as the keel strikes the pebbled beach. Sidroc is there to meet them—the man they came looking for.

The kingdoms of Cymru, Wales, have long bedeviled that of Wessex and Mercia. Much of Welsh strength is found in their women. Passion and artfulness is manifest in two, who, driven by their own ends, impact Kilton in ways unimaginable.

Take fiery flight in Two Dragons, book nine of The Circle of Ceridwen Saga.

Two Dragons, book 9 of the Ceridwen Circle Saga

I was hooked on this saga after book one and this author is now my favorite. I have only grown more engaged after each book, and feel as though I know these characters personally. Deep descriptions of the emotions felt and vivid descriptions of the settings immerse you in a world you come to feel a part of. I have never been interested in “romance” novels but this is a cut above because it is so firmly rooted in historical facts though fiction. Strongly recommend.

Ceridwen's story is coming full circle

It's now obvious why it's called the Circle of Ceridwen Saga! You have to read/listen to know what I mean. Two Dragons is another glorious chapter of it, and includes the introduction of two new fascinating female characters and a revisiting of another from past books that we're finally learning more about. The story is bursting until the very end....I hated hearing the end credits come on...I wasn't ready for it to be over! Waiting patiently for Book 10!

Great series from jealousy & revenge to Deep love & understanding, chef’s kiss

I’ve enjoyed this tale very much from its start. If you like to be swept into the past where a very rich and beautifully described world awaits you cannot go wrong with The Circle of Ceridwen Saga.

A sumptuous feast.

This leg of the journey makes me feel renewed vigor and vitality as the next generations come into their own. I couldn’t love it more and cannot wait for the continued tale to be offered me. Thank you author.

So So So So GOOD!

I don’t think a word has been invented that describes how good this volume of the saga is. Octavia simply cannot leave it here! There MUST be a 10th book in the works. It’s not a cliffhanger but I have a need to know what happens next! I love these stories. Octavia delicately and skillfully weaves the common strands through time like a ribbon. In this installment, we get to visit at length with favorite and beloved characters and even get to meet a few new ones.

I was on my toes in certain parts, fearing what may happen, but compelled by my curiosity just the same. 🫣

Fans of this saga won’t need to be persuaded to continue with it. If you’re just discovering it, start at the very beginning for it is indeed a saga. One of the finest. Octavia Randolph is a treasure who deserves much more credit than she gets. Nano Nagle has narrated the entire series to perfection. What a gift these two bring to the world. Thank you.

literary masterpiece

Octavia Randolph has done it again. I felt like I was truly moving through the lives and landscapes of 890ish AD Gotland and Britain.
