Another Master Piece(s)

Would you listen to Two Short Stories from H. E. Joyce again? Why?

Of course. Joyce knows how to analyze a specific story and bring it to its proper length with enough detail to paint a vivid picture without being to wordy.

What other book might you compare Two Short Stories from H. E. Joyce to and why?

None right now.

What about David J. Shaughnessy’s performance did you like?

Absolutely! For the type of characters built in the stories, this voice actor did very well.

Who was the most memorable character of Two Short Stories from H. E. Joyce and why?

I don't recall character names, but the old man in the pub sharing his story was great. And I did find the wife in story #2 very appealing.

Any additional comments?

I've been following the writings of H.E. Joyce for a while now and just have feel in love with his style and articulation through story.

2 very different stories

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. There are two entirely different stories. One is very dark and ominous and one is more of a mystery.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Tony Lovett in The Cuckoo Club. He seemed like so many of the people I work with.

What does David J. Shaughnessy bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He portrays each character so well (not only with different voices) that he brings each character to life. He artistically develops each character's personality, and by the end, you feel that you almost know these people in the story.

If you could take any character from Two Short Stories from H. E. Joyce out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Jemma in the Cuckoo Club. She seems like she would be a lot of fun!

Any additional comments?

Both stories were very enjoyable.
