About this listen

Tegen Matthews is the daughter of Dorothy Kelley, a club whore in the Hell's Horsemen. A plain little girl, Tegen falls into the gritty world of the motorcycle club. When she meets a sweet, caring boy, she embraces the warmth and affection he shows her.

Cage West is the son of the president of the Hell's Horsemen. Tall and blond with deep brown eyes, as he grows up Cage realizes the power of his dimpled smile and smooth drawl. With one chance encounter, Tegen becomes forever tied to Cage.

Following is a wayward journey that is filled with regrets, mistakes, and heartache, pulling at the threads that hold them together. Cage and Tegen fight hard but love harder, and in the end, what matters is where the journey takes one girl and one boy, who have been twined with one another since the beginning.

Love the series

Any additional comments?

another great read by Sheehan. i loved Tegen with her outspoken anger and Cage loved trying to tame her. just like their folks they had a difficult relationship. hurting each other when what they really wanted to do was love each other. i especially loved when Tegen broke down and admitted her love and vulnerability for Cage. i also loved when Cage told Tegen how beautiful he thought she was to him. very tender moments. as usual i loved the grit and language of the characters and i really liked the deep conversation Tegen and her mom Dorothy had. can't wait to read her book.
this book also had some surprising moments like Tegen getting with ZZ. i wasn't expecting that. ZZ hurting Cage after he saw Tegen and Cage together. i could understand that cause the man was too angry about being hurt again by the same family. Cage getting hooked on coke. i mean.
i liked the story between Ellie and Dirty, i just wished there were more scenes with them and their relationship. maybe, since Sheehan likes to write double stories in one book, they'll get more book time in the next one. too bad there's a wait for the next book. i'm ready to tear in to it =D

Undeniably great biker romance

When it comes to biker romance, nobody does it better than Madeline Sheehan. I loved this book just as much as the others in the series and I can't wait for more. The narration was off-the-charts great as always! I just seriously hope the next book is about ZZ.

5 stars!

Kind of

All though I like the book, I think that Deuce is an ass. He is a hypocrite. I can sleep with who every he wants, but he disrespect his son and run everyone's life. I think this book would have been better without Deuce.

Any additional comments?

This is Tegen and Cage’s story. "Love doesn’t erase a broken heart, and it sure doesn’t change people. But no matter how old, how flimsy, how frayed the rope of love is, it keeps you tethered to the people you love" Madeline Sheehan is an author who isn't ashamed to write the dirty, gritty and horrid parts about a love, she isn't afraid to write about people suffering from the wrongs they've came across in life, and she isn't afraid of writing that not everyone's love story is easy but that it takes work, and it's literally blood, sweat and tears. I for one have to applaud Madeline for that. Her work is truly one the rawest and most realist stories I've come across and it's honestly a pleasure to read anything written by her! Madeline is my favorite author for the above reasons... In Unattainable we get the long awaited story of Tegen and Cage. I have to say the previous encounters we get with Tegen from the first two books, I wasn't overly impressed with her. All we ever saw was her shouting her mouth off and frankly, it was a tad annoying. So I guess I was going into Unattainable expecting to hate her. As you can see I was wrong. I loved Tegen. Once she started telling her story, I could completely relate to her and see why she acted the way she did. The only way she knew how to handle everything was by shouting, being mean and especially keeping her distance from Cage. At sixteen years old, Tegen lost her virginity to Cage - the guy she'd been in love with all her life. However, it definitely wasn't what she hoped it would be. Cage basically shuns her afterwards - baring in mind he was only nineteen years old himself and was just starting to discover what the club life was all about. I'm not agreeing with his choices but I think he acted like any other nineteen year old would that is surrounded by women that throw themselves at him and alcohol at all the time. But of course, Tegen is seriously devastated by this...and then goes into her own shell. Like I said, I can see why Tegen acted the way she did. She was loud, rash and angry - she becomes even more so angry when she's around Cage. I actually found it pretty humorous at times seeing these two together because they have such fiery tempers that every time they were together, it was pretty explosive. But when it's good, it's good. The sex is more than hot! The tense is more than great! And the relationship between these two is definitely not perfect, but it's freaking awesome! However, there was one part of their story I didn't like, and that was ZZ's involvement. I didn't feel it was necessary, nor do I think it was fair to ZZ. I felt for him in Unbeautifully and he's yet again dragged through the ringer this time around. I am however super excited for his story. I think it's going to be dark and dirty and I just can't wait! Now Dirty and Ellie - Ummmmm.....I had to think hard about this one. Dirty is one f**ked up guy, but for some reason the more I read of his story, the more I started to like him. I don't completely understand his and Ellie's relationship, I can't see how it could work with all his troubles but I do applaud Ellie for being her sweet self and falling in love with a guy with that many issues, and whose willing to try and make things work.In all, Unattainable comes with many ups and downs, it comes with beautiful moments and some very ugly moments too but, once you start reading you honestly won't be able to put it down! Well done Madeline Sheehan!! You rocked my world yet again!

Best in this series so far!

I'm totally a biker chic now! Cage & Tegen are HILARIOUS, seriously a toxic couple but it works for them. I am so hooked on this series, with this book being one of my favorites so far. There are moments when I'm literally cringing, but, these bikers and their relationships are packed with emotions, hot sex, and totally off the hook behavior.

The main thing I've enjoyed about the series so far is that the stories are about the lifetime of these characters, so there's quite a bit of ups and downs before getting to somewhat of a happy ending. There's so much packed into this book including supporting characters that are very interesting and provide just as much content to the story.

If you like romance with a really rough edge, this is a great book. Start from book 1, and sit back and enjoy. I highly recommend this book/series and can't wait for more!

Sex, drugs and violence... Oh my!

Where does Unattainable rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

In this genre, among the highest. Again, in this genre... If the reader can listen without moral judgement, this series is a wild ride, one I'm glad I'm experiencing through my iphone and not actually living.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Can't pin it down to one. What I loved was how the story continues giving the perspective of the characters in the last book, avoiding telling an exclusive tale about one couple. Makes the club feel like a character, affecting the lives of everyone, including the main leads. Also like how flawed the characters are - more human. Violent, selfish, childish, often not even realizing they are and if they do, its done after severe damage has been caused. Each gaff seems to be a learning experience, making the characters grow - like real life.

lots of drama, sex, violence, drugs

These books aren’t for everyone, but I love the raw, gritty world that these bikers live in. It wasn’t quite as intense or extreme as the first two books, but it still had it’s moments! There were two stories in one, the main story is about Cage & Tegen but you also get Dirty and Ellie’s story. Cage & Tegen's love story is the main story. They started out childhood friends, but when Tegen was sixteen, one night changed everything between them. Cage West changed in Tegen's eyes. No longer was he the sweet guy always looking our for her, no longer was he her best friend. No. Now Cage West is only the asshole who broker her heart. No matter what happened between Cage, how much she hates him at times, she has loved him since she was eight years old. That much hasn’t changed. As much as she wants to deny it, she's never stopped loving him. The second story is about Dirty and Ellie which is a love story is one born from tragedy. What I enjoy most is that in this ugly world there is still beauty and love, and it just highlights the small things we take advantage of. There is a big sense of family in this book, and although they may not be all blood, they are family where it counts most. The author did it again, she has taken broken, damaged, and completely imperfect characters and managed to write a dark and gritty book that you will not be able to put down until the very last page.
