Publisher's summary

Spellbinding horror. This isn't your cozy, broomstick-riding fairy tale...

When Maria Jenkins awakens late one night in her family's motel room and witnesses her younger brother, Michael, sleepwalking out into the desert moonlight, her family trip is plunged into a gruesome nightmare...because the sprawling wasteland outside their door isn't nearly as lifeless as it seems....

Deep in the desert hills of Nevada, a forgotten evil emerges with a lust for sacrifice. Beneath their black-hooded robes, cackling under the veil of night, they're on the hunt for new blood - new blood for old rituals - until the perfect, most unsuspecting morsel catches their eye.

Loved it! Didn't want it to end!

Hated reaching the end, I got so caught up with the characters. THE BEST BOOK!

pure horror! 😵

this book was really horrific. not for the weak of heart. I almost wanted to return it. but I decided to hear the ending. needed closure. the narrator did a good job. if you are looking for a truly horror novel this is the one for you.

Good listen

I hate to write anything about the story because I feel as if I give away key details so I’ll just say it’s not scary but it is a good spooky season book. Just listen to it. Hahaha

Creepy!

This is my first experience with author Abe Moss. I really enjoyed this story! The narrator, Whitney Dykhouse did an amazing job, changing her voice for each character. The character development was great & the bad characters were scary & creepy. He is a detailed writer, so the visual aspect of the story was so easy to see and be enveloped in. My only critique, I wanted more info and story about the bad characters. Perhaps a prequel?? That would be fantastic!!! I will definitely be checking out his other books!!

I'm grateful for the fast forward button 😊

The narrator did well. The story was a little predictable and lackluster and much of the descriptions and a little of the dialogue seemed like the author was trying to fill pages and didn't really help move the character forward.
