I love Sam Mariano. I wanted to read Contempt but needed to read this first. I was expecting more evil from the book that came after 'Even if it Hurts'. This was very mild, which made it difficult to want to finish. it makes me concerned that Contempt will be boring to me.

This was well written like all of Sam's books. There is nothing wrong with it. I was just looking for something darker.

Wow that is not how expected this book to end at all. Gemma is a single mom of a high school senior. Her neighbors have been bullying her to sell her house and move. Telling her that she doesn’t belong in this high class of a neighborhood. Her neighbor finally crosses the line and makes a comment about her daughter finally turning 18. She decides to get a lawyer involved. She goes to the best money can buy. Hayden is the lawyer Gemma goes to. However, she doesn’t have his kind of money. Their kids go to school together. Hayden’s son has been bullying Gemma’s daughter for years. Hayden instantly wants Gemma the moment she walks into his office. Gemma is not looking for a man. She is happy just herself and and her daughter. Hayden just isn’t taking no for an answer. Heather Firth and Jeffrey Holz did a fantastic job narrating this book. I am curious if there will be more story from Parker and Landon’s POV next.

After picking up Even If It Hurts i've been looking so forward to more from this world! Ever since i found out about Undertow i wanted to get into it and i knew this audiobook would be the perfect time to do so! I started listening and got right back into the Coastal Elite world! I so enjoyed this listen!

Having listened to Heather Firth and Jeffery Holz narration before i was so happy that they were narrating Undertow! Both Heather and Jeffery captured my attention quickly. I got right into this story and back into this world. From the attraction to the unexpected, Heather and Jeffery captured Gemma and Hayden's story so wonderfully through their narration! I can't wait to listen to more of these two in the future!

Gemma and Hayden's journey pulled me in! As these two and their worlds collide, will they be doomed from the start?

I really liked the different way Gemma and Hayden were brought into each other's lives. I didn't know what all to expect in this listen which got me into it even more! Both Hayden and Gemma had me going through many emotions throughout listening. I wasn't sure how these two would tackle their feelings and certain things in their lives.

With Undertow, Ms.Mariano has created a good story that had me feeling many things from start to finish! I am so looking forward to everything she has in store for us next!

Hayden and Gemma’s story is so cute! Love how open and honest Gemma is and how sneaky and possessive Hayden is. Highly recommend as it is a short enjoyable read with a little bit of steam.
Can’t wait for Landon and Parker’s book!

This is the second book in the Coastal Elite Series, a Contemporary Romance. I loved it! Hayden and Gemma's story is sweet, passionate, engaging, and heartwarming. Gemma, a single mom, is beautiful, smart, and caring. Hayden, a lawyer, widower, and single dad, is very handsome, alpha, protective, controlling, and determined. His past is heartbreaking. They are perfect for each other. I liked Gemma's daughter Parker. She is smart, kind, and resilient. Hayden's son Landon is enigmatic. I would love to know more about them. The storyline is intriguing, suspenseful, and entertaining, filled with action, and twists and turns. I loved the bonus scene from Parker's POV, and I am looking forward to more in the series, to know what happens next. Outstanding narration from Heather Firth and Jeffrey Holz. Love the story line, loved the bonus scene. Can’t wait to see that story develop. I was looking for a more dominating character like most of Sams guys usually are. But I am sooo excited to have an audible from Sam that I will take it!!

Consider this a nice palate cleanse in comparison to Even if it Hurts. This book was much more of a “typical romance book”. I wasn’t too wow’d by it and would skip it if I could go back in time. The narration was really great though - that helped!

Well, I have to admit this was a very cute book. their love story was so adorable, it was a bit fast but hey when you know, you know. Oh and let's talk about that ending. like what the heck was that? does he like her or does he really hate her? I guess we'll have to wait for the next book to come out. the narrator's did a good job too
