About this listen

America has passed a tipping point. A majority of Americans now say that truth is up to the individual and that ultimate truth cannot be known. Learning to "speak our own truths" was supposed to lead to dignity and harmony. Instead, our society struggles with unprecedented levels of social conflict, purposelessness, and loss of identity. And still, the "Truth versus truths" tension continues to grow.

Is all hope lost? In this inspiring book, Dr. Jeff Myers tells the fascinating stories of Jesus—followers who lived for Truth and transformed their world in times of crisis. These inspiring figures led the way in human dignity, science, art, medicine, education, politics, justice, and even the idea of meaningful work.

No matter what is going on around us, the truth is worth fighting for. If you long for a positive, restorative role in our own chaotic era, it's time to discover how truth changes everything.

history of which I was anawre - Christ THE truth

this is very comprehensive in discussing our lives as humans. I liked the end of each chapter when Jeff offered answers to the question "What must we do now?"

Very useful book in today’s culture!

Highly recommend this book—does a good job for making the case not only for objective truth, but how Christians can appropriately discuss truth in our world.

Life changing

This is honestly my favorite book of the year, maybe of the last 5 years.
An education on philosophical and theological concepts and beautiful historical references to support the theme and open my eyes to so many things I never knew.
Dr Myers galvanized what I knew was intuitively truthful. Armed me with facts and all the while told a beautiful story of WHO the truth is.
Bravo Dr!

Great book! Thought provoking and relevant

I thought it was very well written, but the reader mispronounced a lot of words, so I only gave a 4 for the "performance." The content of the book is fantastic. I highly recommend it!

content of the book was very but the audio was lac

no it didn't let me complete my full sentences the title but the content of the book was really really well done and a very very informative as a Christian and as a Sunday school teacher I appreciate this the only complaint I would have is the audio quality is very Poppy like there's interference in the audio so if that's an option to be able to fix it when I purchase this book I thought that the book was going to be pretty clear and though I was able to get through the book with the poppiness it took me a little bit of getting used to because of the poppiness so overall that's why I gave it a four star and simplified performance wise was five story was five but again with the audio quality that was the only issue I had contents was very informative and very useful so I may see if I can contact audible and to see if we can get this issue fixed no guarantee so that would work worth I'll be even be possible thank you very much may God bless you guys and God bless some of the summit ministries

Fatally flawed because it relies heavily on Protestant errors

The premise of the book is simple and compelling: truth is real and objective, and Jesus Christ is Truth itself. Sadly the author somehow tries to square this with “sola scriptura” Protestantism which is inherently subjectivist and relativistic, making each person his own subjective interpreter of Scripture.

There are good stories about amazing things that followers of Christ have done to bear witness to the Truth (however much in his stories about Protestants are tainted with ridiculous boomer-meme tier false history such as the idea that John Wycliffe was “persecuted for translating the Bible into English”).

So overall this was a disappointing read/listen, but Protestantism in any form is disappointing. At least it was free with Audible Plus.
