I liked these books because the reader did a good job sounding interesting and it’s a good story. After we finished listening to the first book, we listened to the rest because it was so good. I’m a 9 year old boy and I recommend it for boys and girls ages 6 and up.

Review from a kid’s perspective (9yr old boy)

Targeted to late primary and middle school readers, the Upside-Down Magic books do a good job of not boring older readers. This is definitely a collection that can be enjoyed by a wide age range of readers - characters are distinctive, the magic system is interesting, and the lessons to be learned are subtly presented with a lot of good humor mixed in. The first four books in this collection are excellent, but I felt the authors got a bit heavy handed and over the top in books 5 and 6 so I won't read further in the series.

Narrator Rebecca Soler was an excellent fit for this series.

Great for kids and not bad for adults

It’s been challenging getting my daughter into books but this story was captivating for her and I. She even bought it when she saw it at a thrift store!

My 7 year old loved the narrator and story!

I liked the books but sometimes she would put characters into a group, and then later they were in a different group. I also didn't like how the main character was super bratty sometimes and couldn't even try to understand other people. the overall story was great, but there are definitely ways to make it better.
