M.L. Hamilton
No one solves cases like San Francisco detectives, Peyton Brooks and her partner, Marco D’Angelo, but when a young Mexican folk singer, Ynes Linares, is found strangled with her own pearls, compiling a list of suspects that wanted to harm her is easier than figuring out who didn’t. Everyone wanted a piece of the Velvet Sapphire, but someone wanted everything.
A Peyton Brooks Homicide follows San Francisco’s dynamic crime-fighting duo, Peyton Brooks and Marco D’Angelo, through their early cases in the Homicide Division.

ML Hamilton puts just enough twists and turns within the plot to keep you guessing and in the end everything comes together perfectly. I can't wait for the next book in this series.
The narration is so entertaining. Listening to Kelley Hazen's performance is like watching a movie in my head. There's never any doubt as to which characters are speaking and all the emotions come through loud and clear.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.
