I love how this book breaks down voodoo and hoodou , and introduces Loas . Great book for someone wanting to learn about the history .

I was looking for a book with more dynamic storytelling, practicality, and historical information. instead of telling me what Voodoo is NOT, focus on telling me what it is! I support the work that this author is doing. Her accompanying PDF was a great addition to the book.

This book is ungodly repetitive. It reads like a high schoolers report which they didn’t prepare for and through together the night before. This book could easily be one or two chapters but the author repeats her ideas over and over again and uses a very rough style to draw it out. I also don’t feel as though I learned nearly what I hoped to. I wouldn’t recommend it.

the information in this book is about 1 paragraph. I could on stomach 6-7 chapters of listening to her restate the exact same information over and over and over. if you play the preview and out it on a loop you will gain the same knowledge.
