About this listen

Upon his arrival in the idyllic coastal town of Scarborough Hill, Teddy is afforded only a brief night of rest before he receives a prophetic dream of nightmarish intent. All his life, Teddy has endured the dreams of others against his will. Without them, he is unable to sleep. Therefore, whereas most people would dismiss such a vision, Teddy knows the dream for what it is: a promise of violence that will rock the town to its core.

Armed with the knowledge that atrocities will soon be committed, Teddy sets out, but the forces aligned against him are far worse and more powerful than he initially realizes. In the hours to come, Teddy will find himself locked in battle with a darkness that sweeps the entire town, a darkness many would believe demonic...but Teddy suspects its origins are far more sinister. Before this day is through, Teddy will confront the darkness within us all, and he will come to truly ponder all the meanings of the word "wake".

I started this book almost immediately after finishing Teddy, what I have come to find is all my Mr. Anderson's books leave you with a need for more and Wake was no different. It captivated me throughout the whole book and parts were written so well that the visuals came without even trying, I swear at some point I could even smell the gas of a chainsaw.

Kept me guessing and at the edge of my seat
