Story
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

Story
For years, while Iran and North Korea kept Western diplomats busy, China and Russia have been quietly seeding the US with spies and soldiers. Now, a silent army of occupation lurks inside US borders, and for America, it is already too late. When the assault begins—via an EMP strike that disables the US electrical grid and neutralizes her defenses all in one fell swoop—the US is caught completely unprepared. The nation is lost, and it is up to ordinary citizens to defend their cities, towns, neighborhoods, or even just their families.

My name is Kazimir Wolfe. People call me "Kaz", except they don’t. I never use my real name; it’s too dangerous, for me and for anyone I meet. I’m on the run from the law, who think I killed my aunt, and from whoever did kill her, because they want to finish the job. So, I move around a lot, working construction or whatever job I can find. It’s a lonely life. I don’t let anyone get close...people who get close to me end up dead. Why? I’m a wizard. The world’s only wizard, as far as I know.

Story
When Van Tudor returns to his childhood home, he inherits more than the family farm. His grandfather used to tell him fantastic stories of spacemen and monsters, princesses and galactic knights. Little did Van realize, the old man's tales were more than fiction; they were real. Hidden beneath the old barn, Van’s legacy is waiting: a starship, not of this world. With his combat AI, an android bird named Perry, Van takes his first steps into the wider galaxy. He soon finds that space is far busier and more dangerous than he could have ever conceived.

Publisher's summary
THE TIME OF PEACE IS OVER FOR WARLORD BENJAMIN COLT
Colt and his fellow Green Berets have slain barbarian armies, toppled governments, dethroned gods, and forged the greatest fighting force to ever battle on the decayed and dying world of Vistara.
But an unknown enemy steals undetected into the heart of the flowering civilization they've sacrificed to build. This new threat unleashes chaos and depraved murder by means never before seen. Their goal—complete and utter terror.
All evidence points to a ghost-like tribe of primitives thought long eradicated, but driven by an ideology so foul it's source could only be the planet Colt left behind—Earth. As their alliances and scientific innovations break down, the Green Berets and their peerless alien compatriots seek foes in splendorous realms and barren deserts; wary to explore a fabled land known only though a poem, where hidden in seclusion is either a new ally, or the greatest danger of all.
To secure yet another victory for his worthy queen requires Benjamin Colt's most unconventional and perilous campaign yet. But when all others are found wanting, a kingdom depends on the only man fit to bear the title—WARLORD.

A life spent honing his skills and serving his country hasn’t turned out exactly how Nathaniel Abrams planned, but it’s attracted the attention of the Tower. Ascending to its peak is meant to give anyone whatever they wish for, but all Nate cares about is finding some way to use the skills that seem so useless in civilian life. And if he can prevent a magical wish being given to some maniac (because the Tower seems to love welcoming maniacs through its doors), then that’ll be a bonus. Besides, Nate has an edge.

Story
Life beneath the ashes of the old world has never been easy. For Ethan, though, it was simple in Refuge. Living in a small settlement inside a big cave and carving out a life with his little community was all he had ever known. It wasn’t a happy life, but there was little joy in a post-apocalyptic subterranean nightmare besides with the people you fought to survive with. And then he lost it all in the blink of an eye. His home destroyed, his friends and family slaughtered, he is abruptly thrust into a new life after being forced to flee to a large settlement where he knows no one.

Well written and poorly excuted.
like the rest of Doc's books this one has a great story. But I'd truly like a refund as the audio is horrible. the Auther did his own voice acting and well....he needs a lot of practice before he does that again and we shouldn't be asked to pay for his training. also in many places it's like they forgot to edit out the mistakes, long pauses as he gathers his thoughts and there are even places where he makes a mistake and he just re reads that part again. love the series but for a former member of the Super Friends Doc's attention to detail as a voice actor is embarrassing to say the least. Please Doc spend the money and hire a professional for the next book.
