About this listen

The scum hiding deep inside the Reach out along galaxy's edge thought they could kill her and not pay the price. For years these hardened killers have run roughshod over the lawless worlds where Republic justice is never as fast as the blaster in your hand and where double-crosses and death are a part of every deal. They thought this time would be no different.

They were wrong.

This time, the Guild sent the legendary bounty hunter Tyrus Rechs.

As the infamous Rechs pursues the men who murdered his colleague, he's hell-bent on justice, heedless of the trail of destruction he leaves across ruined worlds and fantastic gambling meccas alike. Because for Rechs, this isn't just another Guild contract...it's personal.

A must read for any Galaxy’s Edge fans!

A lot of the anthology books have been hit or miss, with the stories ranging from the more traditional space opera styles of yesteryears, or the military science fiction that’s also top notch. This book manages to mesh action and intricate story telling in a way that’s both exhilarating and extremely engrossing.

Ray Porter’s portrayal of Tyrus Rechs helps humanise the man within the mask, whereas the main series and Imperator had us believe that Rechs was a stone-cold man, as Rechs rightfully wanted them to think, Ray Porter’s take on Rechs’ mannerisms and internal dialogue made Rechs feel relatable.

Overall, a great story and great performance.

Rex is a Bauce!!!!!

I love the less than subtle homage to the Star Wars Mandolarian arch and Yojimbo. Galaxy Edge is an awesome series

Excellent and surprisingly original military sci-f

Only mildly (and necessarily) derivative, a real accomplishment for the somewhat tired genre of military scifi. Great book and series in general. I tend to avoid books that have multiple authors as I tend to find the transition between them jarring and obvious. Perhaps I'm too sensitive to even minor syntactic/vocabulary variations, but here I had a very hard time differentiating between the two as opposed to deliberate differences between the threads of the narrative.

Very good narration as well, no bizarre misprounciations (Cairo sleep? Really? If you heard that one from another book/narrator you know what I'm talking about. ) Excellent rendering of alien languages, accents, and so forth without the hokiness of many others.

Can't recommend it enough for fans of the genre. A, to use a term thrown around far too much, modern classic of military Sci-fi

Great Galaxy's Edge Story but no R.C. Bray

I really enjoyed the story because Tyrus Wrecks is just so cool. The bounty hunter aspect of this character in this book was better than most novels I've read that focus in on that type of character. The narrator is nothing compared to the narrator for Galaxy's Edge R.C. Bray but I got used to it after a few chapters and it was bearable.

Most of this book is beautifully written

This is a worthy addition to the Galaxy ‘s edge story line. Most of the book is written in a wonderfully poetic prose that made it a pleasure to listen to. The actual plot line is exactly what you would expect from this series. Gritty and determined. Exactly why the series is so good. It’s not perfect but well done. I recommend this to anyone who is a fan of the series. If you haven’t read the Galaxy’s Edge series up to this point stop reading here and start at the beginning otherwise this book won’t make any sense. I look forward to a lot more back story on Rex. How did he become who he is? Meaning what did the ancients do to make him this way. I hope we can get those answers as the story progresses.
Ray Porter is masterful as always.

Love the history and background of Tyrus Rechs! This overall story line, the timeline, the characters, the visuals it creates are fantastic.
