About this listen

Sometimes the only way to love - and redemption - is to make a deal with the devil. After the death of her parents, Lady Aurora de Marquise is left with no illusions. Stripped of her birthright and betrayed by her uncle, escape is her only option. With her life on the line, she narrowly avoids another murder attempt - only to run headlong into Lord Brigham de Mornay, a man most consider a monster. With her uncle's henchmen nipping at her heels, Aurora knows better than to trust a stranger - especially one as compelling as Brigham. Well-honed instincts urge her to flee before his abundant charm takes a nasty turn into aggression - and she ends up neck deep in trouble. Wary, but undeniably drawn to him, Aurora pits her will against his, challenging his authority every chance she gets. But when her uncle manages to track her, she is left with the ultimate choice - surrender to the man who now holds her heart or risk it all trying to escape again. Gritty and fast-paced, Warrior's Revenge brings to life the magnificence of the medieval age while exploring the meaning of honor, duty, and nature of true love.

REALLY ENJOYED THIS LISTEN

Any additional comments?

I almost passed this one up...I don't really know why. Glad I didn't...it was very entertaining and I thoroughly enjoyed it...some explicitly hot scenes...but I like that in my stories. Definitely worth the time!!

Warrior's Revenge

I enoyed the story. Loved the hero. At times was annoyed by Aurora's thought process. Getting angry and assuming the worst of Bringham. she finally shows some growth and sees him through loving eyes and makes the effort to understand him and give of hersef. Loved the action and back story of the evil uncle.

Five Stars!!!

Strong characters set in a time that was harsh, but the plot was realistic - true to that period.

Decent story Horrible narration.

Probably not a bad story, but I've tried 3 times to wade thru the ponderous narration and just cannot do it.

Great story

It is one of the more realistic stories that I have listened to. It had believable characters, set in a great time frame. Overall it was a wonderful story to listen to I couldn't stop listening to it and it kept me up till all hours of the night. Thank you again for a great story. Sincerely Patricia weiger

The only comment I would have is that sometimes the vocabulary did not fit the times.

The only comment I would have is that sometimes the vocabulary did not fit the times.

The classic example would be a reference to someone being caught in the "crosshairs".

good story

Any additional comments?

this book was a good read, the narrator's hesitation between every sentence was aggravating and distracting at first but I got used to it. I would have liked an epilogue but over all I enjoyed the book.

Nice romance

Any additional comments?

The story was nice enough. The narrator was stilled and paused WAY too much in the beginning 9-13 chapters but then it was like she finally got into the story and read/acted it out better.

Decent story, but repetitive

The book could have been cut in half and i would have been happy. I could do without all of the navel-gazing and ridiculous introspection. The author needs to show rather than tell. That and a better and more ruthless editor. Felt like I was being bludgeoned with dialog.
