About this listen

In the first installment of Coreene Callahan's exhilarating Dragonfury Scotland series, a rebel with a cause meets the dragon-shifter of her dreams.

Running from the US government isn't smart - neither is sticking around when accused of cyber espionage.

Framed for selling state secrets, ethical hacker Ivy Macpherson is one of the FBI's most wanted. Seeing no way out, she skips town, triggering a worldwide manhunt. On the run, she comes face-to-face with Tydrin, a man more dangerous than the agents on her trail.

Haunted by the past, all Scottish dragon-warrior Tydrin wants is peace. Hoping to atone, he returns to the scene of his crime and walks into the middle of an armed standoff. Unable to ignore a woman in trouble, he intervenes, only to realize the one he wronged is the woman destined to steal his heart.

Can she forgive him for changing the course of her life? Or will the past ruin his future with the woman of his dreams?

Contains mature themes.

Highland dragon

It was a cute story for being just a short one. I still don’t understand the naming of the book.

Right . . . Tydrin!

Now that Dragonfury: Scotland has taken off I can dive into these books and see what happened - I fell off for a few years. So excited to get started and jumping into this was a reminder to get me started. I remember why I liked it.

Not bad but needs more.

Good story but is missing the meaty bits of the story. It feels as if it is missing its meaty bits in-between the plot points.

Really lacking in a lot of areas

This is my first listen of a Coreene Callahan book and I don't think I'll be picking up more. This was the start of her 2nd dragon series which I didn't know so maybe that is part of the issue...maybe if I had listened to the first series I would have the background/foundation that was missing, but it wasn't a listed prerequisite so I'm going to blame lazy writing instead.

There is nothing to this story. It is more magic than dragon, almost completely nonstop repetitive character introspection, and a useless plot that is basically forgotten until the last few chapters of the book which concludes in the last 4 minutes as the pathetic closure to their happily ever after.

I would only recommend this book if you are between paranormal romance stories, looking for a quickie and it is on sale. It is adequate with Felicity Munroe bringing her A game and making it enjoyable at times with her voice acting.

I enjoyed the storyline, characters and setting.

The story is very slow moving with a lot of redundancies. Careen has done better. This one could have been done in 4 chapters instead of 14.
