About this listen

"This is not the way home. This is never the way home!"

Folklore of a tree troll has always been whispered about in Misty Peaks. But now Hudson must decide if he believes it or not. Should he take the shortcut through Wasted Wood, or should he go around and guarantee he'll be grounded.

Kept My Daughter and I Engaged Till The End

What made the experience of listening to Wasted Wood the most enjoyable?

My daughter and I listened to this book on the way to a hockey tournament. We listened to it all in one shot. We were engaged throughout the entire story, often hanging on the edge of our seats to hear what would come next.

We both loved the book. Brock Eastman has a gift at writing action packed stories without being repetitive.

Amazing Storyline!! Highly reccomended!!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would totally recommend this to one of my friends! I don't want to be cliché or anything, but Wasted Wood literally keeps you at the edge of your seat! Not only that, but it also has a great life lesson intertwined through the story!

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character was Hudson, because I think generally all kids can relate to him.

What about Brandon Ruiter’s performance did you like?

Brandon Ruiter had the perfect creepy voice for this book. He portrayed each character's voice as I would imagine they would sound like. The way he added the sound affects was awesome!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

"At the top of the embankment a huge wispy branch clawed through the air."

Any additional comments?

The AWESOME description paints a vivid picture in your mind! Also a hint of humor here and there that makes you chuckle a bit. The story has a great life lesson to live by! Like all of his other books that I've read I honestly don't think Brock Eastman could've written this book any better than he has! I loved it!!!

From sci-fi (The Quest For Truth Series also by Brock Eastman), to "creepy horror", Mr. Eastman never fails to show his readers a clear scope of captivating fictional worlds. Full of engaging action and insightful emotions, this novella is sure to prove a fun read for younger/middle grade audiences. Highly recommended for any reader searching for a fun, creepy campfire story. This audio edition makes following the story convenient, easy, and effortless. All the better to let your imagination loose. Thanks again Mr. Eastman, for using your God given talents! We certainly enjoy the results!

a great book!

This was a great book! It hard to stop, I loved how he portrayed the characters they were so real to me , and I like how he shows that disobedience has consequences. But I was quite disappointed when it ended.

Wasted Wood

The story was well written and had a really good moral. It was an adventure story that, though not very long, made a very good point.
