Her reviews are worth the trouble!

I’m thrilled that more people are familiar with Ms Tamales. She has an exciting style. Ms Kyle is able to make Eric’s narratives come to life.

Enjoyable and Diverse Stories

I've read/ listened to all the books in the anthology and can appreciate this one because it's original stories, and a diverse collection of stories from a diverse section of American sci-fi authors. There were a few stories that lost my interest unlike the other two volumes but instead of skipping them I opted to listening to them. Overall the book was enjoyable and I loved the fact that I was putting my mind to work by imagining the stories playing out in my head.

l liked it

I enjoyed this audiobook, all kinds of wasteland stories. Sadly, some read politics into everything but don't let it put you off. Some good stories here.

Great Narrators!

I love post-apocalyptic stories, but reading about pandemics in 2021? 😦 Still love this collection!

Not what J expected

it wasn't as doom and gloom as I expected, looking forward to followup stories on a few. A few were actually very funny given the content.

Meh

Most of the stories were extremely repetitive in terms of plot. A few stood out, but it was hard to get through this book overall because of the repetition.

This is just awful

Possibly the worst apocalypse story I’ve ever tried to listen to? I did try hard to skipping from fictional short story to unrealistic short story to morbid short story before I just gave up and returned the book.

Don't bother....

Unlike the previous two volumes, there's no energy to most of the stories. Monolithic, grey, oppressive, even predictable. Came here for a Johnathan Maberry story and really couldn't sit through the rest.

Collection of unfinished novellas

Most of the stories were unfinished and left the reader hanging. Any story that engaged the reader failed to have an ending.

Garbage collection.

Sci-Fi & Fantasy has no limits. Ok. But what’s with the excessive amount that of lesbians? Also, how are all these mostly fantasy without any that have realistic scenarios? Best thing about this collection were the performances except even with those, maybe not have two or more stories back-to-back read by the same person, different stories of course but they it does get confusing. Unless you made the mistakes as I did and got the whole WASTELANDS series, I’d recommend moving along to better fiction anywhere else.
