About this listen

Water Borne: Book 10 of the Circle of Ceridwen Saga.

It is water Dwynwen lifted in her cup of silver. Water, too, the Lady Luned uses in her scrying bowl. And it is over water one must travel to resolve an old conflict.

Set high upon its seaside cliff, the hall of Kilton is racked by inner turmoil. Ceric, on the margin of sanity, finds strength and even bliss returning to him. But it is not without price, as his young brother Edwin, Lord of Kilton, grasps for a possession he never fully won.

Hrald is called to Witanceaster by King Ælfred himself, and there awarded a rare prize. A chance meeting in the King's hall proves more fateful than the young Jarl of Four Stones could have ever imagined—and the one challenge he cannot overcome.

The King's bailiff, Raedwulf, brings Lady Ælfwyn to his hall in Defenas, where a new life awaits. With them travels her small grandson, Cerd, and her youngest daughter, Ealhswith. Now of marriageable age, Ealhswith yearns for confidence and direction in her life.

On Gotland, the peace and security of Tyrsborg is fractured as Sidroc and Ceridwen are abruptly forced to confront their past actions

Unexpected alliances and daring risks...all are Water Borne.

The ability to catch back up after years in between books.

I love everything about the series. I look forward to the next. It is several stories happening at once, yet easy to follow. I am invested for sure.

What are we to do now?

Not the most exciting book in the saga but definitely tied up some loose ends and have opening to future stories in the book. I’m happy to have visited all our beloved characters. I hope we don’t have to wait too long for the next. I’m still in love!!

Magical!

Ms Randolf is the most amazing story teller and Nano Nagel brings the characters to life with her narration. As with the previous 9 books, I am hungry for the next one.

Brilliantly written

Octavia Randolph out does herself again in her 10th book. It is absolutely amazing to envision her settings as she expertly describes them, and the storyline of the Circle of Ceridwen as it continues to unfold. This series will certainly become more and more notable as it evolves.

ENGAGING!*****

Thank You, Octavia. This magnificent saga! Historical fiction, the research is evident in this well described tale. My mind lived within the story as I listened. I appreciate the same naration with each book as a settling continuity. Hoping that she continues writing their tale for some time.

An excellent continuation of the Ceridwen saga!

I really loved this book. It started out with a bang. There were parts I found to be a little slow at times. But, I honestly loved how this story interweaved with the previous The Circle of Ceridwen Saga books. Great ending, loved it. Looking forward to the next installment. Nana Nagle's stellar narration adds so much depth to this audiobook!

I also loved the plethora of PDF treasures that Octavia provides with each of her books. They are so appreciated and really help to follow this rather complex story that weaves into the many different lives of all her characters. They make this saga so much more enjoyable.
