Truly Moving Book, Supernatural Twist

Thomas and his family live in a small fishing village. One evening while on the sea alone, Thomas makes a fateful decision, one that nearly destroys his wife. Left to mourn him and raise their daughter alone, Abigail struggles with her loss. Then the unexpected happens!

The author, Kirby Lord is a masterful storyteller! He captures the attention of the listener and holds it from beginning to end. This is a short audiobook but one that carries a tremendous amount of emotion. The last words spoken or not spoken can be devasting when losing someone you dearly love. Kirby Lord communicates the rawness of the emotion of losing someone vividly as well as the hope or need to have one more moment. Unless you have experienced such a devastating loss, these emotions are not known. Kirby Lord does an excellent job of bringing this to the forefront and adding a bit of supernatural to the plot. The plot twist was well done and perfect for the story.

The narrator, Nick Mercer does this audiobook justice! He projects the message of the author clearly and with the appropriate tone. Although the author painted a very vivid picture, Mercer completed it with his skilled performance.

This is a book that you will not be able to put down once you start. Be prepared, you will not be able to put it down and it will haunt you.
