I really enjoyed hearing from all of the prominent black women from the past. Their speeches are still inspiring today. The narrator though miss pronounced some of their names but maybe that's the way they would say it from where they're from. I recommend this book because one can learn about their past struggles and successes!

Each woman, uniquely accomplished, gave a powerful speech. It was interesting to hear their stories, and how many of them had risen above some of the same obstacles. I feel that it would have been improved by putting these stories in chronological order, so we could more easilySee the progress that had also been made over the course of time
