About this listen

An all new stand-alone contemporary romance in the Moments in Boston series....

If you knew beyond all doubt that one chance encounter would change the course of your future, what would you choose?

There’s nothing like a spring day in Boston to make your heart sing. I’m out with my girls, having drinks in a bar, enjoying the bright pulse of our beautiful city, when I see Caleb. The second my eyes meet his, I know this is the moment when everything will change. All I have to do is choose him.

I meet Whitney on the worst day of my life. I’ve always been an adrenaline junkie, but I never knew how fast things could change. Her soft gaze melts my cynicism, makes me forget the bitter man I was becoming. She makes me want to be the version of myself that I see in her eyes. All she has to do is choose this life.

When We Met takes Whitney and Caleb on the ride of their lives, hitting every note on the scale of beauty and tragedy along the way. USA Today best-selling author Marni Mann will make you question everything you thought you knew about love and fate, and this unforgettable story will leave you certain that destiny always finds a way.

Could have had a much better Male voice for Caleb. Joe Arden or Sabestien York!!

Much better male voice for Caleb. Joe Arden or Sebestian York would have been my picks.

Confusing but good

Still not entirely sure if Part 2 was Emily’s dream or what, it’s confusing to say the least. Otherwise a good book.

Kinda confusing

🚨Spoilers 🚨

I would like to say first of all that I did like this book. I knew it was going to be some heart wrenching ordeal because of the first book. Some of the same characters that are in the first book are also in the second book so I knew the possibilities. But they spent a lot of time building the first story of what happened and a short time building the story of what could have happened and that part was kind of confusing.
There was no lead up to it or warning or this could be the second side of the story it just launches into another story and you’re like why am I hearing the story again in a different way? So that part was confusing. So I gave it three stars because of that I did enjoy the story mostly but that whole dual thing without any warning or reasoning was confusing! I felt like I missed some thing and I went back three chapters to be sure that I didn’t actually miss something, Then I was like are you freaking kidding me when it got to the end of the second story because i was so confused and frankly upset that no matter what it was just so bad. When the actual end finally came it was somewhat of a relief thank God, but it sure was a long way to get there. I have enjoyed the his author but i just didn’t jive as well with the structure of this book.

The story and Characters were actually pretty great. They clearly love each other and his story of all he overcame is inspiring. Or that she loved him even with her past and it’s not that creepy nurse patient vibe, she genuinely loves and cares about him, it’s not a taboo trist.
This story has all the feels for sure and after much upset and confusion i am happy with the last ending.

I really enjoyed the narrators. I thought they did a good job mostly except in the part two of the story I thought they made the guy sound real nasally and he didn’t sound like that in the part one which I thought was kind of odd like why would you make him sound like a snobby nasally person for one part of the story and an average person in the other part of the story? It sounded like it was done on purpose that way.

Off to the last book of the series 📖

~ I WANTED TO LIKE IT ~

I’m at a loss as to how to put into words this uniquely split story about Caleb and Whitney’s life choices without giving anything away. I understand the two stories are all about path one or path two but sadly all I feel is a wave of disappointment over the hours I wasted listening to such a fairly depressing book. There’s triumph over tragedy in part one and tragedy over triumph in part two and you question which is reality. Thankfully there was an epilogue. I listen to romance stories to escape, to be filled with all sorts of delicious feels and to always get a feel-good ending.. however, this listen just sadly felt weak and unrealistic. Great narration though.

Worth a credit? Nope not this time Marni. However, this is just my opinion - you may love it.
