The laird of a small clan, he's been falsely accused of killing the king's courier and stealing the Crown's property - and the key to clearing his name and redeeming his clan lies in Isabail's memories. SPOILERS..Maybe..

Any additional comments?

I'm not real sure where to start with this review. I'm at 55% and it's a little boring right now. Isabail is just too stubborn and wishy-washy for me. One minute she believes Aiden is innocent and the next she's plotting with Daniel against Aiden. I'm to the point now where I'm thinking of skimming a chapter or five just to get on with it. I liked Ana and Niall's story better. I'm not even sure I'm going to finish this.

UPDATE: I did skim the rest of this book and I'm sorry to say it really doesn't end with everyone happy and all problems solved. You do have to wait until December to find out what happens to Aiden, Niall and Wulf. These kinds of books are not for me so I'll just make up my own ending and be done with this author.

As to the narrator: I'm usually a BIG fan of Ms. Potter's but not so much this time. Or maybe it was just me. Isabail, Isabel, Izabel, etc, etc. You get what I'm trying to say. Isabel is spelled in different ways and this time it's spelled ISABAIL. The problem I had was, Ms. Potter called her Esh-ah-bel through the entire book and since I read along with the story it just about drove me crazy. I can see mispronouncing a word now and then but the heroine's name, through the whole book??? Her usual 5 stars drops to 4 because of this.

It was very compelling to listen to!

When I read or listen to a romance, I need a very good story behind the romance. The author created a on intriguing story of love, betrayal and war for justice. I loved all parts of this nobel. Thank you!

Very interesting right to the end

But, it wasn't the end. I am now onto the third book in the series. I have to find out who the man in black was. Kirsten Potter is an excellent narrator. When you combine a a good story and a good narrator you have a winning combination. There are books I just have not been able to finish because of the narrator. A great narrator should be any author's goal.

Love this series!

I am hooked on the characters and the writing. I feel like I am right in the moment because of the author's diligence to detail. The narration is top shelf too. Read this series! You won't be sorry.

Left Me Wanting More.................

I am wondering if there is another book in the making because we were left with no closure, the Wolf's story has not come out and we need to see if and or when he gets his memory back. We need to know who the man in black is and the finality of the whole story line. Does the McCurran clan get to claim their rights to the castle etc. Can't wait!

Nice continuation of the story line.

This is the continuing story of the Highlanders series. I liked that both the male and female leads were strong and well developed. The story line grew at a nice pace, and did not leave me feeling board. There was just the right amount of action and just the right amount of discord between our main characters. Yes, I think this book was wroth a credit, and I will continue to read/listen to the next installment if there is one.

Loved this highland book! Hope there is more in this series as the mystery is still unsolved. What will wolf do about his memory?

just ok

Took an awful long time to get to the point. Lots of inner thoughts and a sudden need to explain right before action. A bit jolting and I had to skip ahead to get to the action.
