Isabail Grant has had to be strong all her life. Over the years, she has lost everyone close to her, and now she's seeking justice for her brother's murder. But en route to Edinburgh to petition the king, she is kidnapped by a fierce warrior - and is shocked to find herself irresistibly drawn to her captor. Aiden MacCurran is an outlaw. The laird of a small clan, he's been falsely accused of killing the king's courier and stealing the Crown's property - and the key to clearing his name and redeeming his clan lies in Isabail's memories. But Aiden and Isabail must first weather deceit and treachery before they can find the truth and claim the love that's growing between them. Contains mature themes.

I'm not real sure where to start with this review. I'm at 55% and it's a little boring right now. Isabail is just too stubborn and wishy-washy for me. One minute she believes Aiden is innocent and the next she's plotting with Daniel against Aiden. I'm to the point now where I'm thinking of skimming a chapter or five just to get on with it. I liked Ana and Niall's story better. I'm not even sure I'm going to finish this.UPDATE: I did skim the rest of this book and I'm sorry to say it really doesn't end with everyone happy and all problems solved. You do have to wait until December to find out what happens to Aiden, Niall and Wulf. These kinds of books are not for me so I'll just make up my own ending and be done with this author.
As to the narrator: I'm usually a BIG fan of Ms. Potter's but not so much this time. Or maybe it was just me. Isabail, Isabel, Izabel, etc, etc. You get what I'm trying to say. Isabel is spelled in different ways and this time it's spelled ISABAIL. The problem I had was, Ms. Potter called her Esh-ah-bel through the entire book and since I read along with the story it just about drove me crazy. I can see mispronouncing a word now and then but the heroine's name, through the whole book??? Her usual 5 stars drops to 4 because of this.
