About this listen

Some wounds take time to heal . . . and some scars never fade. Rachel Morgan, kick-ass witch and bounty hunter, has taken her fair share of hits, and has broken lines she swore she would never cross.

But when her lover was murdered, it left a deeper wound than Rachel ever imagined, and now she won't rest until his death is solved . . . and avenged. Whatever the cost.

Yet the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and when a new predator moves to the apex of the Inderlander food chain, Rachel's past comes back to haunt her. Literally.

Beautiful and Sad!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would you consider the audio edition of White Witch, Black Curse to be better than the print version?

don't know....only listened....but I bet it is!!!

What other book might you compare White Witch, Black Curse to and why?

No comparison....its awesome on its own!!!!

Have you listened to any of Marguerite Gavin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yep....she is an Awesome Rachel!!! I can not believe they switch narrators on book 6....soooooooo lame.....I read the reviews, and listened to the sample...and am so glad I just read it to myself on my kindle....No one can replace MG!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I wanted to, lol but it was too long too....

Any additional comments?

others have said this is the weakest book of the series, but I strongly disagree....it ties together a LOT of loose ends, and I thought it was tragically beautiful..it made me cry, and laugh....just like #6! and I think #6 was the best one yet!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ENTIRE SERIES!! I am moving on to #8 now!!!

Luv it

I have not been disappointed by any of Kim Harrison's books and this one is no exception. The original narrator is back and sounds great. This was a great listen I am already anticipating book 8.

I'm really enjoying the series, but...

I'm really enjoying this series! Each book gets better and better. I read the reviews for each book before I download the next. When I looked at the reviews for the book previous to this one they all pretty much said that the different narrator was absolutely horrible and so I didn't purchase and listen to it. I really hate bad narrators! Looking back I wish I would have bought it and just gritted my teeth and listened to it anyway. There were several important events that happened in the previous book that weren't explaned in this one. I felt lost at certain times because I hadn't listened to the previous book. While enough back story wasn't in this book I was able to eventually connect the dots. Anyway, this book was really great. If you've liked the series so far you'll love this one just as much even if you skipped the previous one with the bad narrator, like me. There will just be a couple holes in the story line. Now on to the next!

Kim Harrison and Marguerite Gavin make a great tea

As usual, Marguerite Gavin was superb. I really like Kim Harrison's writing style, the characters. This book delivered all the entertainment I've come to expect from this series and I was not disappointed.

A Return to Quality

Finally! Back to a competent performer. Accents are right, words are pronounced accurately, and the pacing is perfect.

Again good and performance again great

I liked the story and how it tied off story lines from book before And the biggest thing is how they worked Trent and Rachel back together while adding a new one in Pierce I liked the big bad in the banshee and it was nicely played out On to the next book

Love the story line, love the narrator!

I’ve been listening to this series nonstop since. I really appreciate the narrator as well. One of the books before this one in the series had a different narrator who didn’t do a very good job, it really made me appreciate the narrator, Marguerite Gavin.
