About this listen

One night changes everything....

She’s an aspiring fashionista with her eyes on her career.

He’s a government official who’s married to his country.

From the moment Charlotte Bellswain and Arthur Ellison meet, their chemistry is off the charts.

Everything about them is wrong, but neither of them can resist one stolen night together.

Even if the consequences are life changing.

He warns her he’ll let her down. More than once. And that the eyes of the country are on them both.

That doesn’t stop her hoping that he might just change his ways and grow a heart.

Can a creative soul and an analytical mind put aside their differences and navigate this pregnancy together? They need to make their minds up, as time is running out....

very humorous, mayhem and madness

Misunderstandings , miscommunications , hard headedness, and haywire hormones make up this comedy of errors that even the British stiff upper lip is truly tested on and cracked into a smirk!!!! I laughed , cried , got sad, got mad all of it!!!! The human shield comment had me rofl like a loon. I think Arthur would have fared better in an active combat zone than with the pregnant heroine. I admired his resilience and tenacity, and it all worked out to a hea which I loved. Warning: bring an extra pair of pants, you'll need them. Lol. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

okay this book was okay. it was very hard for me to get into it. the narrator was killing the book and not in a good way. she was lacking character. she was just plan boring. I fell asleep so many times . I'm going to have to read this book on my own to really pay attention to it. sorry but this didn't do it for me.

The right person can change your life

Arthur was/still is a workaholic, but Charlotte is proof that the right person can completely change your life & your outlook on everyday things. Charlotte had to battle through a lot of diminished self worth to get to a comfortable spot in their relationship…I can relate to that so much. But even when the odds were stacked against her, she eventually knew her worth & finally stood up for herself to take care of her & her baby.
I really enjoyed this story. It was my first read/listen by this author. It was a well developed closed door romance for the most part. But it was also wholesome & endearing.
The narration was great, my only setback was that her voice didn’t change much between Arthur & Charlotte, & sometimes I wasn’t sure who was talking. But it didn’t happen super often. It helped that the sections with a changed POV were listed.

great fun story, new narrator (listen at 1.25)

great story an no issues there at all. very fun an interesting characters!!
the narrator is most likely a little new to recording audios. two issues slight refurb like reading in an empty room and slightly to slow speech. i found a little lower volume an turning the reading speed to 1.25/1.35 made it easier to stay in the story and enjoy the reading!! she isnt a bad narrator just new.

Sweet baby story

Cute accidental pregnancy story. Nothing wrong with the story, but I think I might have hyped it up a little too much in my mind before I started it. I expected more witty banter but it was still with it. Being pregnant isn’t always “pretty” and I found myself chuckling at her predicaments. Sound quality could have been a bit better but I enjoyed it.
