Easy read but super quick rap up

The story was going along at a good pace and then it was like all of a sudden Foster ran out of time and just ended it. Like why didn’t we see her final confrontation with the ex? That would be pretty big to her journey.

Made me drool..in a good way :)

What did you love best about Wild Boys After Dark: Logan?

Logan and Stella (Stormy) what a HOT couple. I love how Logan stepped in to protect Stella right from the get go. They had a hot, loving, caring relationship. Logan sure is an alpha male however, Stella was very good at protecting herself too.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I LOVED Logan. He was a true Alpha Male. A HOT Alpha Male. His first instincts were to protect Stella. He stepped into the role of protecting Stella from the first moment he met her. He has a HUGE heart. He cares so much about those he loves.

What about Robert Ashker Kraft’s performance did you like?

I was a little surprised at first about a male narrator. I think I prefer a female for romance novels but I would read another book with Robert Ashker Kraft as the narrator.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Stella told Logan that he had to come to terms and tell his mother the truth behind the person who killed his father and how HE handled the killer. I felt a sense of relief when the air was cleared.

Any additional comments?

Once again Melissa Foster did a fantastic job with this book. Her writing keeps you riveted from the first word until the last word. You cry, laugh, sigh and your heart goes pitter patter at times through out the book!

Suspenseful, Seductive Romance!

This first book in the Wild Billionaires After Dark series is off to a scorching start! It is the perfect mix of suspense, romance and hot and steamy passion. Logan Knight is an irresistible, intense, and sexy alpha male. He will do whatever it takes to protect and save those in need. But things change when his protective nature kicks in for Stella 'Stormy' Knight. She is not just a job. She is smart, sassy and sexy, with a gift for hiding who she really is. Wild Boys...Good Narration

This book leaves you wanting more. I can't wait for the next books to come out. Just to be clear, this is NOT a cliffhanger. This book successfully packs a lot into less than 200 pages. You get a lot of romance, some dirty talk, intense sexiness, a little angst, and a tad of suspense. Also family love, loyalty, and a lot of friendship.

Stella and Logan have this strong chemistry and steamy sexual attraction. They discover their connection is more than just a one night stand type of deal. Both Logan and Stella have their secrets. Stella is in hiding, running scared, and Logan provides the strength and support to ease her fears.

Also introduced are Logan's brothers, his Mom, and a few friends. If you like Melissa Foster's books, you should enjoy this one. I read it straight throughout the night.

I received this as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review.

4.5 "Her Sexy Savior" Stars!

Any additional comments?

4.5 "Her Sexy Savior" Stars for both the story and narration!

My first Melissa Foster listen and I'm in love! I understand that this series, the Wild Billionaires After Dark Series, is a little more erotic than her others; and boy did it deliver some heat! I also enjoyed the suspense angle of this intriguing romance. Further complementing the whole package was the talented and sexy narration by Robert Ashker Kraft which helped bring this romantic suspense title to life.

Stella Knight is on the run. After falling for a bad man, she doesn't know who to trust. Moreover, she misses her home and longs to be able to return to see her mother, but knows she can't go back home if she wants to protect her. Even worse, her ex's imminent release from prison--which she sadly tracks with "Xs" on her calendar--means that her precarious situation is about to get much more dangerous and worse.

Fortunately for Stella she happens to be in the right place at the right time, and meets Logan Wild at a bar. From the very start, the protective Logan, who uses his Navy SEAL training in his current career as a private investigator, is helping Stella evade danger. After a hot night of passion however, Logan knows that there is something that Stella (who tells Logan that her name is "Stormy") is hiding. Determined to get more than just one night with Stella, Logan sets out to uncover who Stella really is and what she is hiding. Can Logan solve the mystery before it's too late? Moreover, even if he does, is a HEA in the cards for this couple?

Robert Ashker Kraft's deep and charismatic voice is perfect for this romantic suspense title. I particularly enjoyed Mr. Kraft's rendition of Logan which seemed to perfectly exemplify his alpha hero protective and goose bump inducing passionate ways. Mr. Kraft also manages to produce a slightly higher toned voice for Stella--making it easy to distinguish the characters in the dialogues without needing to rely on dialogue tags. Mr. Kraft's timing was also well suited to set the mood for each scene. This was my first experience with Mr. Kraft's narrations, and I will definitely be looking to add more.

Whether you're a Melissa Foster fan already, or are looking for a new romance author who knows how to pen a sexy, alpha hero and compelling romance, I recommend that you give Wild Boys After Dark: Logan a listen!

no real new ground broken in all the best ways

AudioBook Review
Stars: Overall 4 Narration 4 Story 4

Starting with a bit of interior POV from the heroine, Stella, the story introduces us to her choices: moving to NY to avoid (and hide from) an abusive ex, cutting herself off from family, and keeping a low profile. She’s lonely, caustic and even a bit skittish, and all of that shows in her word choice. Of course, empathy for her is easy. Then she meet Logan: a PI after leaving the military, this man has a protective streak a mile wide, a need to fix issues, and his eyes on Stella. Their connection at first is electric, she’s mesmerized by the blue eyes and swagger: he likes her shape, her smile and knows there is more behind the bravado.

From first meeting to conclusion, their physical connection is off the charts: dirty talk, sexy moments and full-on abandon characterize these moments. But there is more: Logan is determined to protect Stella, he’s even finding it hard to justify the insta-love he has for her, even as she won’t fully open up and share her concerns and worries. He’s going to protect her though, and she blossoms under his attention: perhaps a bit quickly from the drastic measures she took at the conclusion of her last relationship, but she’s got hope. They shared hopes and dreams, background and concerns, and soon are winging their way to a happy ending – perhaps a bit quickly for my taste.

Narration for this story is provided by Robert Asher Kraft, and it was nice, after so many audiobooks from Foster to try a new narrator. My first encounter with his work, the influence from his acting was clearly present: emotions and moments of insecurity were easily distinguished as the story progressed. A pleasant voice, one that enunciates clearly and maintains a steady pace, what I did miss was a distinction between characters, either in pacing or tone, that would have made it easier to determine just who was speaking, especially in moments that were dialogue heavy.

There’s no real new ground broken here in this story, with the exception of the erotic content being amped up from other works from Foster – and believe me – it is steamy, sexy and oh so dirty: in all the best ways. But, the hero is rescuing the damsel in distress: she’s in need of affirmation as a woman, as desirable, and to reconnect with her life before she met Logan, and she gets that chance here, with the full support of a loving and caring man.

I received an AudioBook copy of the title from the AudioProducer for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Good book!

As the first book of her new Wild Boys series Melissa Foster continues to create stories that pull the reader in and keep them captivated. I loved the references to characters from her other books to tie her works together while setting them apart. I also loved the character's strong values for family, trust and honesty.

While the book is different than her other works, it kept me interested and unable to put down. Logan is a private investigator that stumbles upon Stella and works tirelessly to keep her safe from an ex-boyfriend who is determined to kill her. The pair struggled with their feelings for each other as well as dealing with their own inner struggles in life.

The narration of this book was excellent. I enjoyed Mr. Kraft's performance of this book as his voice had me hooked even before he started telling the story. He told the story well and enthusiastically. I can't wait to hear him tell the rest of the books in the series!
