This box set includes three books of the Wild Scots series, Hard Nox, Perfect Storm and Lion Heart by Jolie Vines.
I absolutely adored each book when I read them and was completely thrilled to listen to them on audible. The narrators capture the character's personalities perfectly. I was drawn in by Paul Metacalf's and Frank Ryan's accents and felt as if I was living in the books.

Hard Nox:
Second generation! Wow. And I thought I'd never love any characters more than those in the first series. Jolie brings in some of the most complicated, stubborn, yet endearing characters in her stories. I love seeing familiar characters and how they interact with their 'grown' children. Definitely characters that you simply wish were real. Lovely story.

Perfect Storm:
I loved this story. I adored Artair and Skye. The daughter of Mathilda and Callum, I had high hopes for her story and was not disappointed. This story was well written with the right balance of drama. A great read. Since my first read, I've returned to this story several times. This book has made my go-to reread pile. I love these characters so much and the narration in this story was absolutely perfect.

Lion Heart:
Sebastian's story was darker, broodier, just like the character. Born with a title, Sebastian's life should be perfect no? But despite a wonderful family, his inner turmoil leads him to make some drastic choices. Illegal fighting as an outlet our kind hearted yet broody man finds himself coming to the rescue of a damsel in distress which results in disaster. Faced with disappointing his family, himself and society, Sebastian struggled with returning to his life, and is obsessed with finding the one for whom he sacrificed his reputation. The story between Sebastiana and Rose was intense, angst ridden and simply divine. Both characters have so many issues to work out, yet are drawn together like a moth to a flame. Both sacrificed their own needs for others, and are truly beautiful people.

I have been listening to all of the different Scot series! This author is amazing! The stories are so sweet and good! I started sort of backwards with the island Scot’s and now still find it amazing to hear the stories of the characters that appeared in that series! There’s books with a little more spice than others but at the end of every book almost leaves you feeling like you can picture or are a part of this family!! Truly great writing!!

I already had a chance to read these books individually. Now I was given an opportunity to listen to them in this bundle as an audiobook.

Hard Nox - I loved Isobel and Lennox! They were hot together and also brought the best out of each other. Together, their personal demons were calmed. Once misunderstandings were explained, their love grew stronger. I did not want to stop reading, and there were moments of joy, tears, and sighs. I highly recommend this story.
Ella Lynch and Paul Metcalfe - narrators - Both did a wonderful job in bringing life to this story. Such a good job with the different personalities.

Perfect Storm - This story contained a man who took on responsibility and accepted circumstances as they arose. He also had a strong a wild dare-devil streak to counter all that responsibility. Artair was a wonderful man but still human. Skye was a strong, determined woman, wanting her own freedom until her options changed. With some steamy scenes between these two, I actually enjoyed how they worked out their futures. I recommend this story.
Ella Lynch and Frank Ryan - narrators - Again Ella Lynch voiced this family quite well. Frank was a good counterpart, and I loved listening to both tell the story.

Lion Heart - A story full of denial, questionable pasts, lots of love, family, and forgiveness. I really enjoyed this story. Sebastian was a conflict of emotions, and I enjoyed how he worked through his feelings, more so once he was pushed to do so. Rose was a strong young woman who was trying to live beyond her past to have a better life with little to her name. These two made a powerful young couple willing to do what they thought was right for each other. I highly recommend this story, and I can't wait for the next book.
Ella Lynch and Frank Ryan - narrators - It was a pleasure to listen to these two again as the story unfolded.

Review Note: Since this audiobook is a box set I’m writing my review as I complete each book so if I note something that’s answered in one of the following books it’s because reviews are written as I finish.

Hard Knox: Ella Lynch and Paul Metcalf did a great job with this. They brought the emotions to life! I loved Knox & Isobel’s story! Knox is everything Isobel needs! I can’t wait to see how they progress. (In other stories of course)

Perfect Storm: LOOOOVED Artair so much! Not just his love for Skye but his love for his family and everyone he considers important to him! Loved Callum being the father he is! We went through all the stages with Skye. Jolie really made you feel her emotions or frustration as Skye met her challenges. Such a sweet beginning for this couple.

Lion Heart: Aye Sebastian! Such a Jersey for him from book 1 to book 3. I’m so glad he got his happy ending! Rode is perfect for him! She’s soft but strong and so nurturing. Very happy with Sebastian’s story.

So the down side to reading books before you listen to them is; you have an idea of the character in your head already. Ella was so Incredible, and the PERFECT for for Rose (book3). She wasn't quite what I expected for Skye & Isobel (this is really just a PSA for people who met them on the page, I swear she is great) , but I will be re-listening to the books over & over.

This collection covers the first three books in the Wild Scot series and the narrators did a great job with their presentation of these three books and brought both the stories and characters to life for me and was a great collection from Jolie Vines. The stories are well written, the characters strong and easy to relate too and the.

Book One - Hard Nox is Knox and Isobel’s story and is narrated by Ella Lynch and Paul Metcalfe who are both new to me. Their narration was expressive and brought the emotional aspect to life for me.

Book Two - Perfect Storm is Artair and Skye's story is narrated by Ella Lynch and Frank Ryan (Another new to me narrator) and again their performances brought this at times emotional story to life for me. He loved Skye with his very being and that was certainly emphasized with the narration.

Book Three - Lion Heart is Sebastian and Rose’s story and is narrated by Ella Lynch and Frank Ryan who again did justice to the story that Ms. Vines wove. They was plenty on heat and my emotions were tugged all over the place.
