Publisher's summary

“She was sunshine to my storm clouds, and I wondered how the two could ever coexist.”

A chance job offer in Scotland gives Willow Barlowe an excuse to escape the predictable life her overly controlling brother, Miles, wants for her. Excited to start fresh as a fashion intern for the local kiltmaker, Willow lands in small town Loren Brae brimming with sunshine and hope.

Until she discovers that her new boss is none other than Ramsay McMillan, her brother’s best friend, and the grumpiest man this side of the Atlantic. Never mind the ghost Highland coo that haunts the castle, nor the supposedly bewitched waters of Loch Mirren, Willow refuses to work under Ramsay’s watchful eyes, certain he’s reporting back to her brother.

Ramsay Kilts is home to one of the last remaining traditional kiltmakers in Scotland, Ramsay McMillan. Loyalty, continuity, and tradition are important to Ramsay–as is his privacy. After a family betrayal, Ramsay keeps his walls up, running a veritable kilt empire with as minimum fuss as he can. Enter Willow Barlowe–his new intern, good friend’s little sister, and a veritable thorn in his side.

If the thorn is made of sunshine and sparkles that is.

As the two clash, Ramsay must decide if loyalty is really more important than love?

I love this series!

I am now waiting for Wild Scottish Fortune to be released on Audible….I hope I don’t have to wait too long! How many books will be in the series? Awesome writing, compelling stories, and the readers are fantastic!

Banter at its best

Willow, Ramsey and actually the whole town have playful banter down to a fine art. This is how life long friendships, and soul mates are formed.
Love this series and all members of the town.

Really Good Series

Book #5 was enjoyable just as 1-4 were. I did have trouble understanding Ramsey. His accent was too thick. In fact, there was less of a story in #5 with the emphasis being directed to serial dialigue. 1-4 had the serial dialigue also, but th

Great story but disappointing & distracting narration

I love ALL of Tricia’s stories - including this one! BUT I almost gave up on this audiobook shortly after beginning it. I’ve liked Amy Landon in other books but her narration seemed really rushed in this one. I did not like Will Watt’s narration at all. With the extreme “Scottish” accent, I couldn’t even understand him at the beginning of the book, even slowing the speed by half. I almost returned the book for a refund. I finally got used to it enough to finish the book, but it sounded like he had a mouth full of marbles and really distracted from the story.

These characters, from every book, just mesh perfectly.

I can hardly put these books down. I laugh out loud, get so mad at times, and cry. Love 💜

Magic, humor and romance

I enjoyed the plot of this grumpy Scot with sunshine American woman romance. It helps to read the series in order to build up the story of assembling the women with special supernatural powers to guard a special treasure. Not only is this important to keep the Kelpies away in the local loch, but the treasure is important to the world's survival. Willow is the latest inductee into the groups and the story focuses on some men's need to protect and even control women and also issues that "curvy" women face in life. There was humor and the usual cast of magic characters and creatures; in this case a kitten is Willow's special animal. I listened in Audible and I liked the male narrator but the female narrator talked way too fast.
