About this listen

[Faint-hearted listeners: Please read all the way through to the disclaimers at the end of the blurb, which contain spoilers regarding what types of strong content may be found in this adult fantasy audiobook.]

Before World War II could reach its conclusion, the world suffered what could only be defined as a cataclysm.

Now, Yosemite City stands as the gateway between two worlds. The empire of humanity to the west, and the wild wastes to the east.

Standing at the helm for Yosemite is Vince, a ranger turned city-state ruler. Supporting him in his endeavors is his inner circle.

Vince has begun to maneuver through the intricacies of ruling. At the same time he must balance his expanding foundation and fend off external threats.

Thankfully, every single citizen of Yosemite is united to the cause. To make their home, permanent. To dig out their place in the world and make a stand.

Things are starting to spiral out of control. Almost as quickly as he can put it all back together something else falls apart.

And with Yosemite rapidly rising into prominence, Vince finds that it really means just putting a bull's-eye on your back.

Warning: This novel contains adult themes and moral ambiguities. The main character is written as a real person in an apocalypse, and will not make choices that line up with social and cultural norms. This story contains a harem and is an adult fantasy novel.

Books freaking great

I really enjoy that series, especailly with all the tie ins.
The jab at people named Felix is great especailly awesome lol
Undead armies, dragon kind, giant lightening bolts, elf killing, all these things make me happy.
and, we got our first exchange between Felix and Vince, the same way it happens in ssosh. we also get a bit of timeline line up.
ita a great build up to the next book and sets so much up for the future.
Really a great story, still a bit much on the sex descriptions for my taste, but great none the less.

Another great telling

A great follow-up story of Vince and his attempts to secure a safe place for him and his people. If you liked the first one you will like this one as well. The army of Yosemite really starts to come together.

Even more harem and a bigger empire

🡺🡺 Rating Adult: explicit sexual content, sex with any and every race, cold violence (minimal gore), and a very good narrator. 🡸🡸

Vince is a man that leads with charisma. Join him in an alternate future where humans screwed up the earth and every fantasy race imaginable showed up. This sudden change caused an end to life in the modern era. Guns became a rare and expensive tool and the sword returned to a reliable way of life. Slavery returned in force as the different races exploited each other. With his effort and a bit of luck Vince will attempt to build a better future for the new world.

As Vince goes along he will collect, wed, and bed all manner of women from orcs and beast kin to dryads and dragons. Randi Darren does an excellent job of portraying not just the physical components of Vince's sexual conquests but also emotions from both the wives and Vince, so everyone feels balanced and real. Randi also does a lovely job of keeping the sex seens from getting in the way of good story content, so the books move along nicely.

Andrea Parsneau is a magician with her vocal talents. Her charters are all consistent throughout the arc and distinct and diverse making conversations easy to follow. Her narration voice is particularly enjoyable and draws the listener into the story.

🡺Note: this story is told as a 3 book arc all available on audible and voiced by Andrea Parsneau. As the arc has a very nice uniform feel and flow this is an arc long review. Also Please check out the Co-series Super Sales on Super Heroes as it fits the other side of this series including a merging story line. And thank you for taking the time to read my review.

I'm shocked that the story was so good

I literally can't wait to read the last book and I feel like at the same time I should cuz reading these two makes me feel like it's going to end on a cliffhanger that's going to make me want to read three more books that don't exist.

Good addition to series . Needs to lighten up on explicit sex

Series ties in well to other series and answers many questions. Story is enguaging and well done. But keeps throwing in overly explicit sex descriptions that simple detract from the story. Just be aware this series is more in line with the Harem Jondra of stories and very explicit from time to time for no apparent reason. The other two series that join this world are Harem Jondra but not explicit, which makes them much more enjoyable because the author focuses on the story not the shock of Teenage day dreams. Story would have recieved 5 stars if it had maintained the same tone as the other two series "The selfless Hero Trilogy"and "Super Sales on Super Heroes". Over all good story, narration is done well for female voices, but main male character voice could have been done better, Vince sounds like he has been smoking one to many decades. Narration would have been better with a male and female narrator, that would have played to their voice strengths.

I love this series

Usually harem hot romance fantasy series like this will sacrifice plot for hot but this one doesn't. With a plot that sometimes gets a bit rediculous but rains itself in. It stands above all others in its genre.

Not exactly what I expected, but I liked it

The narrator did a great job. I loved all the voices she had for all of the characters. The story was quite interesting as well. What I didn't expect were the "erotica" portions. I'm not sure how I missed that when I bought this book. It was quite the surprise. I want to say "you got me" to someone, but I did it to myself. What a hoot!

An improvement over the first!

Whereas the first book really hit the harem hard resulting in a more lackluster plot, book two does a much more thorough job in bringing everything together in a way that flows and kept my attention. I was pleasantly surprised as we followed Vince working to better the lives of his people, expand his territory (and harem), and fight his enemies. There are political nuances all along the way as well. Vince certainly has his hands full!

Andrea Parsneau seemed to find her stride in narrating book two, and I found her performance better than in book one.

I will definitely be getting the third book shortly.
