Publisher's summary

Runner and his team managed to bring peace to Tirtius, successfully log the crew out, and have begun settling in to make a home on the isle of Vix. Fate isn't going to let them go that easily though. She clearly hasn't decided on what to do with him. Plots are in motion. Threats local, divine, and abroad scheme to exterminate Runner and the threat he represents. The possibility of what he could become. To top it all off, the server is clearly ramping up towards a full awakening. What does one do with an entire world of "living" beings who are aware?

It all comes to a head when an assassin attempts to take his life in his own home.

Now comes the true test.

What is he willing to wager to build the future he wants, both in game and out?

Or rather, who?

16 year olds wet dream.

The first book started of promising but it devolved into a teenage wet dream. I enjoyed the series but there were times where the main character interacted with his "harem" and it got a little cringy. I didn't like the fact one of the main plot points was shooed away and replaced with an easier plot. All in all it was a cool book, but be prepared for a teenage boys fantasy

Truly a baiting of the nerd in all of us.

I really love this series, even though the hero is brokenly powerful. Wishing I was powerful like he is.

Ties that bind.

Over the last few years I have purchased everything this author has published because of this first series. It was the first one that I bought and it is still my favorite. I tend to not write reviews until I have been through a series twice unless they are exceptional. Today I realized that I had neglected to write this one and so here we are. I should have done this immediately the first time I listened to this one because it is very very good!
All of the world building from all of his novels under both pen names stem from this series as far as I can tell. And Runner seems to visit most of the other stories at some point. I highly recommend you all go out and get them all and don’t forget Randy Darren is the same author folks and what I stated just now goes for both authors! Runner shows up eventually throughout them all!

Impressive Story.

Really liked the continuation of the story.! I really enjoyed the moments when the author would sing me with corny jokes and or one liners. The narrator has become one of my many favorites to listen to.

incredible end to a Trilogy

This is my third time listening through the trilogy. It's been enjoyable each time, creative and intriguing setup for the next series. I'm going to follow the suggested reading order on his website. Love this series, the characters, action and story. incredible job!

Goodness Gracious.....

What a great wrap-up, so many emotions.
Superb performance, I thoroughly enjoy, probably going to start the trilogy over, after a third run on Super Sales.
Wish there was more, but it still satisfactory.

A Satisfying conclusion to an enjoyable romp

This review is 100% spoiler-free because spoilers are the worst.

Overall: It's great (for what it is)
Performance: I love it
Story: Pretty good

Are you looking to be challenged intellectually, tied up in suspenseful knots, or listen to a hollow smut novel?
No?
Good. Neither was I.

Otherlife Awakenings is more of the same easy, enjoyable, stress-relieving LitRPG excellence that you enjoyed in the trilogy's prior two entries.
It is weaker than the first two books, but I still really enjoyed it.
If you've gotten this far in the series, I think you will too.

Arand continues to deliver a rollicking good time.
He also still manages to keep the romantic side smut-free, if not exactly clean.
Jeff Hays narrates phenomenally as always (no surprise there).
It is not perfect--for example the plot is a little TOO light on serious challenge/conflict to the main character--
...but it definitely has me wanting to pick up the rest of Arand's work, especially considering this is one of his first.

If you're on the fence, give this one a go and I don't think you'll regret it.
