About this listen

Warner spent his days like almost anyone else.

He got up, went to work, answered phone calls in a call center, went home, spent time with his daughter, and went to sleep.

Only to repeat the pattern over and over and over.

Life was as mundane as anyone could ever fear it to be.

Today was the day that all that would change.

On this day, his daughter Maya would be nearly fatally injured, plunging Warner into a world of paranormal creatures, monsters, and magic he’d never known existed.

The only consolation is that he discovers he’s not quite human, either.

Nor is he very happy with the way of the world or how it spun. Built on corruption, lies, and injustice for all.

An unlikely answer comes to him that fits his wounded heart.

Justice handed out by him personally. Vengeance and retribution in equal measure to all that deserve it.

Using his newfound powers and unbending determination, Warner is going to carve a path through the world that’ll send the darkest corners of existence fleeing before him. Even as he crushes them beneath his furious strikes.

The very world will tremble with his actions and fear his coming.

Warning and minor spoiler: This novel contains graphic violence, undefined relationships/harem, unconventional opinions/beliefs, and a hero who is as tactful as a dog at a cat show. Listen at your own risk.

This STORY is pure GOLD and completely ORIGINAL

I've never read a story about an avenging angel or a vigilante out there seeking Justice that still has a child at home it's a nice balance and contrast I like the fact that he is also slightly suffering with multiple personality disorder all while juggling the fact that he has a crippled daughter at home, the knowledge of the supernatural actually exists and he's a part of them, his need for retribution, a very new/strange polyamorous relationship and a know-it-all woman this dude literally takes it all in stride it's fucking amazing I can't wait for the next book to come out. Especially because as always the voice acting was phenomenal thanks to Andrea Parsneau I'm honestly surprised she hasn't voice acted for over a thousand books yet anyway the bottom line is read this book.

Fun listen

a fun little listen. the injustice thing gets a little annoying at times, along with the I'm good you bad, prepare to perish. leaves a good amount unfinished. but the narrator sells it. and I have never laughed as hard at a character as Daria. good story and will be looking into authors book more.

AMAZING Book! Next Please!

This book was absolutely amazing! Just like every other book in the Arand/Darren universe it all ties together into one gigantic flowing story. I can honestly say without a doubt William D. Arand has become one of my favorite authors and Andrea Parsneau one of my favorite narrators. They are both definitely within my top three of each category. With the two paired together every new book put out is a definite buy without a second thought!

A growing author?

The Story is pretty good, a living being that represents a concept is really good but doesn't have the lameness of being completely controlled by it like some books. I also feel like Arand is growing a lot as an author, especially with some of the losses that the mc suffers. things that I feel other books of his did not have.

another great story by William D Arand / Randi Darren his stories are always enjoyable even the ones that I didn't think I was going to like I do I just wish they would come out faster despite the book being out for several months it took a long time for the audiobook to come out.

Andrea Parsneau and W.D.Aran another great book

Arand continues to grow as a writer and I rebooted every minute of this book. it over laps with swing shift which makes it fun trying to see where all the plots intersect, even when it's just a brief touch.
