Publisher's summary

Graham McNeil knows that his pack is unruly, but he's not sure he can take the next step toward pack stability. After losing his first mate long ago, Graham has worked hard to keep his heart in check. Besides, even if he was inclined to choose a new mate, his girlfriend, Misty, is human - a fact that won't sit well with Graham's old-fashioned pack.

But Misty is going through a crisis of her own, one that brings danger and death to the pack. With the wolves doubly convinced that there needs to be a shake-up, Graham must now defend his leadership and save the woman he has grown to love - before Shiftertown is pulled into an all-out war.

Graham and Misty

Graham is loud, obnoxious, bossy, rude, and trying to convince himself that what he has with Misty is just a temporary thing. Misty is confused by Graham's hot and cold behavior but she loves him for who he is. Misty is no push over but she exudes sweetness. Lots of action in this one. Plenty of new characters and old friends make appearances as well. Matt and Kyle are adorable. I'd love to see Dougal's story at some point.
Highly recommended series and author

ANOTHER THRILLING ADDITION TO A GREAT SERIES

Graham, the intimidating Alpha leader, tried to close his heart to the pain of loss but when his human girlfriend Misty's life is threatened when her brother's enemies kidnap her, all the calm denials of his feelings shatter as a race to find her overwhelms him, ignites his feelings and ends in bloodshed, trickery and magic.

Jennifer Ashley yet again delivers a great action-packed story filled with likeable characters, adventure, new characters, a sassy, sweet and strong (when needed) heroine, a tormented hero and a powerful selfless love story as the mating bond finally kicks in. However, Graham's life is in great danger and his pack is restless but he's unable to help himself and so it's up to Misty to somehow save him. There's humor - especially provided by the terrible twins, a steamy romance, an emotional plot, funny bickering and banter between the two lovers, Human threats and an evil Fae character who's been plotting Shifter enslavements so the Las Vegas Shiftertown prepares for war.

Worth a credit? If you're already a fan of this series then you know that JA's world-building skills enable her to multi-layer the plots as each book evolves and moves the Shifter world along so well. A very enjoyable PNR and YES a very good use of a credit.

A great read!

I wasn’t sure about Graham for a while but I can say now, he’s not too big of a douche. Lol

He’s an alpha on a mission and his human girlfriend, the mate he wants to deny is right there for him. With him each step of the way.

This book brings to light that the collars are going to be worse for the shifters if things don’t change. Graham is attacked by a far and his human mate is truly his only hope. Misty with the help of a mysterious man, a book bought from a flea market, a scared wolf and 2 wolf cubs will have to fix it all, make it better and somehow get the big alpha to accept she is his, no matter what she said before.

A series worth listening to

I enjoy the narrator for the service. I enjoy the characters and the relationships they have with each other.

Difficult

It's hard to see Graham has a leading man and to fall in love with him due to the past he's the villain but seeing him through his true mate eyes and we see a great sexy passionate man 👍👍👍👍👍

Beautiful florist vs grumpy wolf

The love story between Misty and Gram has been working towards this book through a couple of previous books. Dougal and the little twin cubs add a very special element. The evil high fae made it clear that the plot to re-enslave the shifters and try to take over earth and destroy humans is far from over.

A little too strange

This one had great shifter characters & I loved the little twins, however for me, there was too much fae & fairy like creatures in it. I thought it took away from the continuation of the shifters.

Hmm 🤔

Well I love this series and this one was going along so well but to me when it got to be towards the end say chapters in the 20s I started to get displeased.. To me Misty just started being stupid and started getting on my nerves.. Yet I liked her up till then.. She said and did some of the stupidest things so it kinda took away from the book over all..
