About this listen

Cricket Kendall moved to Colorado expecting to learn more about her magic and heritage. Since befriending three hot werewolves from the local pack, things haven't gone exactly as planned.

As her eighteenth birthday looms closer and closer, her magic and abilities grow stronger than she ever imagined they could. Theo, Hollis, and Cas do their best to help and support her, but tensions are high between the long-time friends. Between miscommunication, keeping secrets, and the tentative hope that one—or all—of them might end up being Cricket's mate after her birthday, they can barely keep control of themselves.

However, a witch's intuition is her greatest power. When Cricket learns to trust herself and her magic, she realizes things might not have to be so complicated.

Contains mature themes.

Great book

I really like the Cricket Kendall universe so far. This series is definitely one where the focus is on the development of relationships between the different characters over plot development. The use of different PoV, even for secondary characters is a great way of showing us these characters and it also prevents the series from dragging, as everything develops at a slow pace (I feel like this book only spans a few days in the timeline).
While I do like the overall idea, it does feel like there are some points where I lost some connection to Cricket as a character. She's almost too nice at times, too perfect, which makes her less relatable. There's also not a lot of new plot development compared to the first book, except for some minor things I noticed that could potentially lead to a misunderstanding/conflict in the future books. This last point didn't really bother me so far (and this is usually one of my 'pet peeves'), I was still invested in the story.

Excellent!!!!

Must read/listen to Cricket first!!! I love this story, It is super sweet, and the world building continues to be excellent. This book is mostly relationship building. - not much drama in this one, I always turn to this series when I'm feeling down.

Loved, loved, loved it!

Crickett's story continues to unfold in this sweet story. She faces uncertainty in her relationships, judgements from narrow minded and jealous people, and excitement for what may happen on her 18th birthday. But thru it all she has her guys and some new friends to back her up and support her. Can't wait for the next book.

Slow

Enjoyed the first one decently although very YA and spice so far is like 2.. but this one was slow, basically all about highschool issues and gossip. I am used to way more spice and not so YA but it is a sweet story and I will continue since there is a lot of potential to get more juicy.

Absolutely Nothing.

I usually don’t do reviews but the book just DRAAAAAAGGGS ONNNN SOOOO SLLLOOWWWLY that I want to throw my kindle across the room. The ideas in this book are amazing but there’s absolutely NO REASON. for this book to be 500 damn pages of absolutely nothing. The info in this book can be skipped and you won’t miss anything to book 3.
