About this listen

One night. It was supposed to be one wild night with my friend - a fiercely sexy chef. Now, I can't stop thinking about her. Can't stop craving her flavor. And that was before I found out our no-strings night resulted in two little pink lines.

As the number one winger for the Seattle Sharks and the last man standing in our bad-boy trio, the only lines I'm familiar with are red and blue. But while hockey is my life, Jeannine branded herself on my heart. She's in so deep, I couldn't cut her out even if I wanted to.

What do I want? Everything.

She wants to do this on her own - she's never needed a man. The little bundle swelling her gorgeous body isn't going to change that. I've got three months to change Jeanine's mind - to prove I'm ready to trade the nightlife for dad life, but for once, my reputation off the ice isn't helping me score the girl. The harder I try, the higher she builds her walls.

The thought of losing them both is more terrifying than a career-ending injury. Our clock is running down, and if I can't prove that I'm all-in for her and our baby, our chance at forever will end in a shutout.

This time, I'm playing for keeps.

Contains mature themes.

Goodness the female narrator is so robotic it’s distracting. I started counting how many times she said ‘to’.
Classic tropes in this story but it was fine but HEA was too quick and seemed forced. I’m going to push thru the next book but this series was ruined by really bad narration, except maybe book 1. I couldn’t get thru book 2 at all.

Good story bad narration

This one’s great it starts off strong. The story is all backwards, but it’s great good chemistry.

The books just keep getting better as the series goes on

The book is really good, if I had to say there is something I don’t like it would be the constant doubt and negativity.

The beginning

Warren and Jeannine were spicey from the jump. Both are happy and content with their life and being single. They end up hooking up before Warren goes off to play in the Olympics. Six months later, he is back and well Jeannine is 6 months pregnant.

I like Jeannine. I liked how she pivot, realized she was going to be a mom and did what she needed to do. Did I like her lack of trying to tell Warren?! Yes, I did but I get it as well. I loved how Warren was in from the jump. Wanted to prove to Jeannine and do all the things, the list of things, that a couple should do. These two were meant to be a couple and I am glad they worked their stuff out at the end.

The narrators were great! Both Noah and Tatian fit Warren and Jeannine. The story line was solid and it was super easy to listen to!

This is the 3rd book in this series. This is about Jeannine and Warren. Jeannine is best friends with Bailey and Paige and Warren is best friends with Gage and Rory. Again another fast listen and super cute book. I have been loving this series. This starts out by both of them not wanting kids or to get married. He was leaving for the Olympics. When he came back he was in for a nice little surprise. I love how organic the characters feel and how their relationships evolve.

So cute

This was not as good as the ratings suggest. OMG I wanted to slap her. She is so whines through the whole book and just can’t make a decision!

Not as good as the ratings

To me Jeanine wasn’t very likable. I cannot like a person who constantly jumps to conclusions and won’t listen to a single thing anyone else says. I didn’t really like her in the previous books, and was worried I wasn’t going to like this book and unfortunately I was right. That is why I don’t like listening to series, I always feel like someone gets a raw deal in the series and in this series, it’s Warren. I don’t like when authors try to write a strong independent woman character and end up making her self centered, cold, irrational, and lacking common sense. She’s supposed to be strong but comes across as insecure and lacks trust and thinks the worst of everyone. The only reason this book is getting 3 stars is because of Warren, who’s so patient, kind and way too forgiving. This is going in my “do not read again folder”. This series seems to have a theme of miscommunication and misunderstandings which isn’t really my cup up tea. I don’t appreciate unnecessary drama in a relationship so this isn’t my favorite series but really liked the guys so I thought I would finish the series. I’m not so sure now if I want to continue.

Warren was great, I didn’t like Jeanine.
