About this listen

Wings of Love won the 2017 RWA Golden Heart® Award for Romance with Religious or Spiritual Elements.

Will Reo Greene ever learn to say no? She's just finished organizing Lilac's first 5k race and is swamped with Online college exams. Now, the mayor wants her to collaborate with Jack Warfield to evaluate Main Street decoration proposals for the town's upcoming 250th anniversary. The last thing she wants is to work with the man who rejected her five years before, but the mayor is determined to make an example of the two former high school enemies. If Reo and Jack can collaborate for the good of the town, maybe everyone else will try to get along.

Back in Lilac to oversee the sale of his mother's rental property, Jack doesn't admit he's also on a leave of absence from his new job as a Peacetalkers mediator. He got injured as a result of an unauthorized meeting, and the Peacetalkers must investigate. Even if the mayor is twisting his arm, Jack has no interest in collaborating with Reo. She'd already destroyed his college football scholarship chances. He'd be crazy to let her mess up his life again. Will past mistakes prevent Reo and Jack from discovering their true feelings?

Clean Romance

Wings of Love by Pamela Ferguson is full of hope, love and inspiration. I found the story to be refreshing with its wholesome values. Good hearts who want to help others was one of the main vibes I took away from this book. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. The performance by Stephanie Dillard was spot on. She had distinguishable voices for the various characters, which is something I really enjoy. I would definitely listen to more books by both the author and narrator in the future.

Sweet romance

This is the third story I've listened to about the sweet town of Lilac and loved it just as much as the other two, Mercy Me and True Hearts. It's a sweet and clean romance so if that's what your looking for then this is a great choice.

All the Feels!

Reo Greene and Jack Warfield are from the small town of Lilac and it's easy to say that their history is anything but a good story, so when he runs into her while she's working a race, it's not going to end well. Reo has a heart of gold, is a rule-follower and can't say no when someone needs her help. She is one of those people who does so much for others that she ignores her own needs. Jack is a Peacetalker mediator. He is a dreamer, one who jumps in with both feet before thinking something through, and he's forced out of his job when he doesn't follow protocol. Now he's back in Lilac to sell his mother's home and he isn't planning to stay long. But it's the town of Lilac's 250th anniversary and the mayor asks both Reo and Jack to help to evaluate the proposals of shop owners to decorate for the anniversary. There's so much infighting among the owners that someone has to show them how it should be done. He appears to have an ulterior motive because, if he can get these sworn enemies to work together, he feels the shop owners could do the same thing. As Reo and Jack sit down and clear the air of what they think happened in the past, they come to the conclusion that they've both been wrong. This is a very poignant story, light on angst, with heartfelt emotions and a sweet romance.
The narration is brilliantly done by Stephanie Dillard. Her dynamic voice, the pace at which she reads, the emotions she infuses into the different scenes and the tonal variations she uses for the dialogue bring the book to life.

Lovely Story!

This is a lovely story! It is clean and has no foul language so you can listen to it without worrying who is around.
Reo Greene and Jack Warfield are thrown together for a project in the Texas town of Lilac. They had an unresolved conflict which resulted in huge consequences in both of their lives. How will they be able to get past it and work together now? The main characters have flaws and their goals don't magically fall together. This story was refreshingly honest and satisfying.

Old Pain New Lov

This is a sweet romance about Rio and Jack. They have a spotted history in small town and would be the best of enemies. As small towns go, the rumor mill adds more fuel to the flame. Due to past pain from father and mother wounds, the couple is unable to see the good in the other until they are forced to work together on a community project.
I love the simplicity of this story. These are two people with good hearts who only want to help other people. In the end, they end up helping themselves find true love.

Wings of Love had great characters who I enjoyed getting to know and watching grow. There was great chemistry between the two high school enemies, and it was fun to watch the sparks fly!

Sweet Romance

This is a sweet enemies-to-lovers romance between two people that had crushes on each other in high school but their impulsiveness caused them to act out and hold grudges on each other until their paths cross again in their hometown. The book and characters are well written. I liked that both the h and H grew up from HS but they both had more growing to do before they could be in a relationship with each other.

So much fun!

I love listening to this book, it had me chucking to myself multiple times. The dynamic between Reo and Jack sees sparks of all kinds flying. The supporting cast of characters were great too, and the glimpse of small town life makes it look wonderful. Lots of the kind of drama that only happens in small towns where everyone knows everyone and has opinions on what they do.

The descriptions are really well done, I was able to picture everything in my head. I was caught up by the story from the first page and even with a great ending I find myself wanting more.

Oh... and I want that app!

The narration is well done, the delivery is smooth and the character voices were well done.

Wings of Love

After a contentious past, Reo and Jack are forced together to complete a job for the good of their town. Can they move beyond the hurt from their youth and work together, or will everything fall apart?

Pamela Ferguson has written a sweet story, and Stephanie Dillard was the perfect narrator.

I look forward to more stories about the residents of Lilac!
