Publisher's summary

Since arriving in the tiny English village of Tillyhenge, Caitlyn is discovering that there are lots of perks to being a witch (although sadly, magic still can't make your thighs thinner or stop you acting like an idiot every time you meet handsome Lord James Fitzroy),

But when the nasty housekeeper at Huntingdon Manor is murdered and Caitlyn becomes the main suspect, she finds herself surrounded by suspicious villagers. With the help of her sassy American cousin and a mischievous black kitten - not to mention the old village witch and her shop of enchanted chocolates - Caitlyn sets out to clear her name.

She soon realises that this is no simple murder. Her sleuthing leads her to an ancient ring with mythical powers - a ring worth killing for. But with a few clever spells and some chocolate magic, Caitlyn just might solve the mystery - and find her real family too!

Bordering on the ridiculous

The chocolate spandex was just too incredulous for words. If the woman is that fat she would have an actual corset. Why did we need a crazy chocolate one anyway? And what is with the OTT family drama? Nobody believes this DOUL shit. Just write the mystery, which is actually not that bad, and leave out all the unnecessary drama, and its fine.

Witch Chocolate Fudge

What a delightful series! It’s rather slow moving but still enticing enough that I kept wanting to learn more. Caitlin makes new discoveries about her heritage & of course there’s murder involved in this story. With a list of suspects & some surprises, Caitlin’s story continues.

Charming cozy with a twist of magic

If you love HY Hanna’s other work you will love this series too. It’s set in a charming English village with a cast of characters full of personality. The narrator does a fantastic job of bringing all the charm to life. This book is not too mystical & out there what so ever. It’s only a sprinkle of supernatural and 90% cozy mystery

Great story, squeaky narration

Fun story and characters. The narrator, however, makes every character sound like a 1920s flapper airhead cheerleader.

Entertaining & enjoyable read!

My sixth read/listen from author H.Y. Hanna. An enjoyable cozy mystery. Since I own both the Kindle & Audible editions I was able to follow along while being read to. I love the narrator’s British accent; I was impressed and enjoyed the vocal variety & inflections of the narrator & really enjoyed the read. Cozy mysterish, captivating primary character, what other blurbs can I use to describe these books? Oh well, buy the book, read the books, get into a good author and some good characters as I have. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018)

google what cannabis looks like

this series is intriguing and the narrator is awesome! the plot twist was great and I enjoyed the scenes with the kitten, hehe, and also the brewing romance! 😍
but there was a moment where I had to stop and shake my head. the character doesn't know what a cannabis plant looks like? like, isn't her cousin a party lover? lol, it threw me off and I guess, in a way, that was a good plot twist, haha! it made her seem for a moment a bit too naive. overall though, I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next one in the series!

Charming Cozy Will Enchant Your Chocolate Cravings

Witch Chocolate Fudge is the second enchanting and charming book in the Bewitched by Chocolate series by H.Y. Hanna. It is fun, lighthearted, and thoroughly entertaining, with several laugh-out-loud moments. The story begins soon after the first book ends (Dark, Witch & Creamy), with American Caitlyn Le Fey renting an attic room in a chocolate shop in the Cotswolds village of Tillyhenge (yes, the town has a stone circle just like Stonehenge).

In this story, Caitlyn gets involved in uncovering the murder of a longterm housekeeper at the Huntington Estate (James Fitzroy’s manor house) after it is uncovered that she was the last person to see the housekeeper alive. Thus, she is the #1 suspect on the police’s short list. Before the housekeeper was killed, however, Caitlyn overheard her threaten one of the maids with blackmail for attempting to steal a family heirloom. It turns out the maid was only one of several people the housekeeper were blackmailing, and soon the number of suspects are many.

Besides the murder mystery, we also find out a little more about Caitlyn’s parentage. The cranky chocolatier she lives with, the Widow Mags, is definitely her grandmother, although she won’t talk about it and we are no closer to finding out what happened to Caitlyn’s mother (still no mention of who her father might be). Nevertheless, the Widow Mags did teach Caitlyn a few new tricks with chocolate, such as getting lace butterflies made out of chocolate to fly.

Pearl Hewitt was simply sublime in narrating this audiobook. Her enthusiasm and excitement are much appreciated and her interpretation of Uncle Viktor is especially endearing with his Eastern-Europe accent. Pearl provides varying voices for all characters and she demonstrates sophistication and innocence in all the right places. For example, there is a little girl in this story who loves chocolate and Pearl narrates her voice with wonder and awe, as well as a bit of hesitation as the girl doesn’t know if the Widow Mags is a good witch or a bad witch.

In summary, I highly recommend Witch Chocolate Fudge for all who appreciate cozy mysteries with a dash of the supernatural. I can’t wait to listen to the next audiobook in this series!
