About this listen

In a small Texas town, what starts as a little festive Halloween fun ends in a brutal murder. And lawyer-turned-herbalist China Bayles is even more shocked when her friend Ruby, a New Age expert in tarot and astrology, becomes the prime suspect after a minister accuses her of witchcraft. Now it’s up to China to unmask the real killer…

Just love this series!

I gave this second book in the series a chance because I was on the fence after reading the first. But no, I just couldn’t find any characters to find interesting or care about. The main character seems aloof and could be one of the mean girls if you aren’t in her clique ( she wishes the obnoxious minister would have a stroke!). I’ve liked the first several books in the Darling Dahlias series by the same author but these folks are just not for me.

Main character is unlikable.
