Oooh the build...

I’ve become a fan of these series and for the most part can be captivated by the variety of conflicts versus solutions. I was hoping to move past the Brody conflict. Tav and his team have no problem killing someone for trespassing, stealing and obvious murder. Allowing him to live on semantics is disappointing especially after this last travesty. Great story otherwise.

The best yet

I held off starting this series for some unknown reason and now I regret it. I binged listened the 11 books like a crack whore needing a fix. I love Eric's other works. ,but this series is the best yet. If you took out all of the sex, this would still be an incredible series. 10 out of 5 stars if it were possible.
Keep up the great work

bad ethical plot armor

random drug addicts that you've never seen hurt anyone but themselves are KOS, but the murdering megalomaniac walking weapon who you have tiptoeing around because he has repeatedly shown that you are either his friend or his enemy with no in between gets a pass. I'm not saying killing him would be right, but seems like a fucked up time to grow some ethics. just seems like shitty plot armor.

F**k this author.

Letting Tavs buddy live is the laziest plot device in history. And the discussion about it not being right to kill a mentally ill murderer is ludicrous. This is the apocalypse. Brody is a threat. He should never have been allowed to live. There is no excuse for writing this stupid. It's like a terrible B movie plot. I have forgiven a LOT of technical inaccuracies for the fun of this series, however, I give up. I will not be purchasing or reading any further. And if this series is an indication of the author's skill and philosophy, I will be sure to avoid him altogether in the future.

I tried but this was the nail in the coffin

Let me start off by saying that the narrator's we're great. They did an amazing job.Books 1-9 I absolutely loved.Book 10 absolute dumpster fire. All character development up to book 10 basically gets tossed out the window by the author.Made them look like naive trusting idiots when they were introduced to Brody.Well guess what it carries on into this trash heap. Most of the book was good, they basically went back to normal. Then Brody shows up and guess what happens?Yep,you called it.The naive trusting idiots come out to play again. Now the end rolls around, they now know the man is an absolute murdering mental case, and what do they do?Feel sorry for him, though he just killed a truck full of women sex slaves smh.I really tried to give all this trash a chance but the author wore me down with all the nonsense in the last 2 books and I'm assuming it's going to carry on into book 12.Well I won't be around for the books burial.I will say I went through this series not liking Tara much but she was like the only one with sense that wanted to end Brody right there.Cheers to Tara, now best girl!!
