About this listen

I used to be a computer programmer...I think.

But then I woke up in a strange new world as a...god? Part of me thinks this is some ultra-realistic VR game, but things just seem and feel too real.

Especially the three beautiful priestesses, who have traveled from afar just to worship and love me.

I don’t know what’s going on, but as their god, it is my job to protect them, and the only way to do that is to level up by teaching them how to survive and build in this brutal wilderness.

A white knight redditors wet dream

I honestly don't hate the book. But wow, it's just super cringy a lot of the time. The problem isn't even really the plot itself, it's the way the author thinks how men should be acting. You can feel the soy boy white knight r/niceguys down with the patriarchy I support strong independent women vibe this author is going for. The mc is just too over the top with niceness. It got so bad, that at multiple points in the story I burst out laughing at how stupid he sounds. It's like the guy who got friend zoned wrote a power fantasy about being a god who gets all the girls because he is just so nice and understanding. The reality of which is not even vaguely close to this. When he should be firm and manly, the author instead goes with over the top understanding that is just pathetic really. There are a few moments where he behaves fine, but for the most part, it's just really bad. It's like the author threw out the idea for this book in an echo chamber full of people who have no idea how people actually interact. The slight insults towards human men being bad is really in bad taste. But not the MC. He is the nicest god out there, and because of that, all the girls love him. I think I'm finally realizing the majority of users of this service are all soy boy cucks that are so delusional, they insist on writing some of the worst harem books out there. The voice performances were actually pretty good though. So if you're looking for a nice strong MC who is not just over the top nice, but masculine and willing to say how he feels, then skip this book. I highly recommend Son of the Hero King, Heretic Spellblade, Gryph the Gryphon rider, and Conquest. Now those are some damn good haremlit books. I appreciate the effort, but the echo chamber got to this author. It's sad really. The genre I love is being swamped with cuck soy boy authors who confuse polyamory with harems. It's tragic.

Entertaining listen

This is a fun listen that isn’t deep. I enjoyed it because my expectation going in was a fun story to listen to for destressing.

boring

I'm down for the lewd and improbable story. But this one was just downright boring. I kept expecting it to pick up in the next chapter and eventually the book was done. And the dialogue was weird, I have not met anybody that talks like the priestesses do.

The voice actors were amazing as usual. I have heard these two many times.

Kinda boring

I tried this because Succubus Lord was great. The story was very weak, character development was slow, and there wasn't any real plot. Fell asleep several times and had to pause it and come back to it each time.

A guy meets 3 girls, builds some rapport, then a bangfest at the end.
