About this listen
Bound by fate...
Nic Rutherford has a big problem. A magical problem. A classmate has unearthed a deadly secret and is using it to blackmail her. Will she be forced to kill an innocent to protect her supernatural life, including her boyfriend and Aiden? Can she live with herself if she uses her power to destroy a pure soul?
Forever apart...
Aiden's been keeping secrets of his own. For a shot at vengeance against the woman who destroyed his family, Aiden has agreed to keep his mate in the dark. Though Nic is all he could ever want, the past stalks him with every beat of his heart. Will his silence cost Nic her life magic? Will he ever be enough for his mate?
One final chance to save all...
Two selfish hearts must learn to beat as one. To trust and accept not only each other but also themselves and destiny. For, if Underhill is allowed to rise to power, the mortal realm will fall. Ragnarök - the end of the world is at hand.

You know you’re invisible when even your bullies forget to pick on you. That’s me, Bettina Blair, hidden in plain sight. No matter how hard I try, I just never fit in with my classmates. Now I know why. I’m a witch...apparently. One little demon attack and my parents confess their ugly secret…and ship me off to an elite academy of magic—for witches only. I just don't belong here, and Jackson Lancaster keeps reminding me every single chance he gets. This boy is the most insufferable, intolerable, unbearable, judgmental person to ever have the right to be that gorgeous.

I was nobody. No matter how hard I tried, I never fit in with anyone at my high school. Now I know why. Turns out I'm a witch. A scary powerful one, too. Except The Coven that claimed me won't teach me how to use my magic. Suddenly, I'm selected by the Goddess to hunt down a mythical locket needed to save the world from destruction. The only person who actually tries to help me is the alarmingly attractive Tennessee. He has immeasurable power and breathtaking mismatched eyes. I'm drawn to him on a level I can't explain...and he's forbidden from getting too close to me.

Story
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Story
Surviving a werewolf attack should’ve been the strangest thing to happen to me tonight. But no, the universe had other plans. Now, I’m stuck dealing with a broodingly hot guy named Wesley St. John—who seems way too comfortable with murder. Definitely a red flag, right? Wes isn’t just some guy I stumbled upon—he’s a protector, but not the friendly kind. His job is to keep the supernatural world in check, and my ignorance is making things complicated.

Story
There’s only one rule in the world I come from. Keep our existence a secret. Period. The day my sister broke that rule one too many times, I knew there would be consequences. I expected us to be sent to one of those schools for “troubled” kids - and maybe Daizlei Academy was, in a way. But really, it was far more complicated than that. You see, I thought that world had forgotten me. Forgotten us. For years we were left alone, and one day...we weren’t. It was only when I got there that I remembered the second rule: Trust no one.

Story
People say I'm a weirdo. Sure, my idea of a party is a mini box of wine and hanging out with a feral raccoon, but it works for me. When I’m accused of murder, things get crazy. One, I learn that I have magic. Two, there’s a secret magical city hidden right in London itself. And three, my only hope is a vampire who’s sexy as sin and scary as the devil himself. He's called the Devil of Darkvale, and he all but owns Guild City. Some say I should just quit and turn myself in. Not a chance. I’m going to solve this murder myself.

When Emma moves to Astoria, Oregon, she is given two rules: #1 - don’t cross to “their” side of the street. #2 - don’t mess with the elites, especially Lexen Darken, top elite and resident bad boy. While she finds this both weird and insulting, Emma has no actual intention of breaking these rules - until her guardians go missing. Now all bets are off. Young and daring, the OSS assemble under a thin camouflage of diplomacy and then disperse throughout the world to conduct their operations. Narration PAINFUL
if this wasn’t the third book in the series I would have returned it after the first 10 minutes. I wanted to listen to the story so I managed to listen to the end but it was really painful!!! The narrator absolutely ruined this book. She spoke in 3 word phrases which took the flow out of the story. I don’t understand why anyone would change narrators in the middle of a series! Kate Marcin was wonderful in the first two books! Reading book 3 would have been better in print.

Good story, terrible reading
Love the series so far. Did not like the new narrative. Very inconsistent and choppy with the reading. Also there were times a gap with the narrative would happen and a different voice would fill in. A lot of words were said incorrectly. Hard to get through.

Narration Change
Besides the narrator's cadence being unnaturally halty, she pronounces the MAIN CHARACTER'S name totally different than the narrator of the previous 2 books. Utter failure and incredibly distracting. Sticking with it because I enjoy this story.

Easily the best series I've read all year!
I love this book! And this series! It is phenomenal. I get so excited when I see one of these books next on my list. I can't wait for Gwen Rivers to put book 4 on audible. I swear, each book got better and better. This book had a different narrator than the first two. It took me a minute or two to get used to her, but eventually I learned to lover her almost as much as the first one. I can't wait for the next one and I plan on looking for more from this fantastic author!

Wonderful series, but be ready to read it all
This series is fantastic. I am addicted! The story is phenomenal. The author has cliffhangers down to a science, so be prepared to read the entire series. There are many surprises in this book, and many answered questions. Things are really heating up in the Fae realm, and there's no telling where it will go from here. I am on the edge of my seat. I received a free review copy of the audio version of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Read this one not listen
Let me start with the story. It’s so good! Things are getting crazy! The story continues to throw curveballs at you and leaves you with your mouth gaping opening as the secrets are revealed or whack you up side the head! Things are tense and I’m caught holding my breath more then once. There were a few major shockers I didn’t see coming. Now on the the narrator. The first two books are by some one else so I was thrown for a loop when this one started. I am not a fan the quality is all over the place. First it’s in your face, then it’s far away and what’s up with the echoey in your head sounds. The narrator’s boy voice stink and her accents for the females change a lot but mostly comes off very whiny. I honestly would have stopped and read the book if I hadn’t been at work because the whole thing was grating.

I enjoyed this listen but I didn't enjoy it as much as the first two books. It just felt overly long to me. But if you enjoyed the other books in the series you will enjoy this one.
