Publisher's summary

Kelyn of Ketura: daughter of a legendary warrior who left the mountains before she was born. Brave. Strong. Tempered by her struggle to survive in the hostile, craggy Keturan mountains. "Find your father, " the local wisewoman tells her. "To find your true self, find the Wolverine." Angered by his abandonment, Kelyn doesn't care about her father - but the lure of adventure in the Out Lands calls to her, and she accepts the challenge. New languages. New weapons. Magic. Witch hunts. The treacheries of civilization. She doesn't know just how much of a challenge it'll be.

I loved this tale.

I just loved this story. No shrinking violet this girl, she may get into a lot of bother, but she needs no ones help to get out of it either. Wolverines Daughter is a rousing tale about a young woman who is confident enough to go out there and do her own thing. At no time was I bored or nauseated by any love entanglement that is often the end of a good story, she was true to herself all the way through. So if you are like me and like a good female lead, read this one, you will not be disappointed.

A Hidden Gem!!!

I really thought this book would be mediocre but it was spellbinding. An action adventure swords and sorcery fantasy novel that I couldn't put down.

What I liked best was the strong female character who lived during the early development of civilization. After the death of her mother, Kelyn went in search of the father she had never known. No matter that Wolverine had the reputation of being almost a superman of that time, Kelyn resented him for not being there and being husband & father to them.I was so drawn into the book that I felt like I was with her as she got into one scrape after another due to her naivety. She didn't understand city ways because she had to take on both roles of male and female just to exist in the wilderness. When she entered the cities, she was perplexed at the division of labor and the subservient role women had.
Kelyn has such a good heart that she is compelled to help others in trouble which land her into hot water again and again.
The people she meets/helps along the way were just as entertaining as she was. If you like a good yarn set in ancient times, travel with Kelyn and meet the "travelers" who take her under their wing while she inadvertently gets them arrested for practicing witchcraft.

There's magic in the air and I was ensnared by it when I listened to this book.

Satisfying magical father-daughter story!

Says it all in title. Glad I spent the money. Five words remaining to submit? Ha! Done.
